Anyone PCIII knowledgable???
Got my PCIII in yesterday for my 2001 F4i, tried to fire it up, and it won't start. The laptop was telling me I was getting zero fuel delivery. I checked the directions over and over, and yes, I know there are two plugs under the tank on the F4i, and I'm sure I had it plugged in properly to the correct set (I am going to try the other ports tonight, though).
I downloaded the information form the CD twice, tried the maps on the internet once, and uploaded many maps to the PC itself several times. The bike runs great when I returned it to stock, so I know it's not the injectors themselves or bad gas.
I've heard Brighton Powersports is a PC "dealer/tech place"..., I live in Farmington Hills, work in Warren..., is there anything closer or can someone give me a hand??? Thanks for any info....
I'm guessign folks were
late last night, so maybe, just maybe, I'll get a response this afternoon
! Re: Anyone PCIII knowledgable???
from the power commander site:
Q: I installed a Power Commander on my Honda CBR600 F4i and it will not run.
A: There are two sets of Gray connectors in the stock harness. You have most likely connected the Power Commander to the wrong set, and if you refer to the pictures in the installation guide, you can determine the correct set.
and a link to the instruction manual with pictures (in PDF form):

Assuming that a pcm for a bike is the same as a pcm for a truck or car. Sometimes the program will not take right away.
If all else fails try wireing it back up then turn your key fully on and off at least 3 times. Leaving it on for a couple seconds at a time. Then try to fire it.
I had to do it when i got custom mapping done on my truck. After that it worked fine..
