dundee, home of the new cabela's. LOL. it's exit 17 on US23. almost too close to toledo if ya ask me. i was thinking of coming up to cafe concepts as i have never been there, and i'm sure my cbr will need to be dyno tuned after i get a new jet kit among many other parts. i get off work in 30. yes that is 7am! so i plan to sleep for a while then pick up a master link for my chain. now are all bike chains the same i would think? and would it be a dealer part? there is a yamaha dealer close and that was going to be my first choice. thanks alot for the replies.

pics of my new bike.

i took her out for a ride today just the way it looks. and i wasn't wearing a helmet. and damn it's quicker than i thought. still need sot be tuned pretty bad, but she was revvin to 12000-13000 easy. although i tried to keep it around 10,000 seeing as i'm new to this. damn bugs in my teeth with no windshiel too. definitely need to get that fixed.

maybe it is your old bike. how did you get rid of your old bike? or was it wrecked or something? you didn't drop it off a truck did you?

lol, aint no project. it will be done in a week or two. just bought a full 2 bro's exhuast on ebay (SS header and carbon fiber pipe) for $200. gonna hook that up and it's already jetted for a pipe. then i'm buying airtech race bodywork and putting some graphics on it and painting it silver. i think that's it. i got a vid of me driving it down the road. pretty crazy for only my second day riding. http://fast_dsm.tripod.com/vids/cbr_flyby.AVI that was this morning. just copy and paste into browser.

yea that road is one of the better ones round here in the country. damn i gotta move back to the city. and i am a poor little hillbilyl that can't afford a helmet or leathers. maybe i will ducttape my elbows and knees and wear a baseball cap. lol. seriously though, i will get some sort of gear soon enough. the thing doesn't have insurance or registration yet, or a headlight and it's tuned all to hell till i get my new pipe. so i was just doing some joy riding. no biggie. maybe i'll do some wheelies tomorrow and post them. i pick up on things real quick.

oh and did you hear how it just drops off at the top of second and totally bogs when i hit third (i had it nailed when i hit third and you can hear, it sounds like i let off the gas or some ****) i guess i will wait till i get my pipe to find out if that leans it out enough.

not exactly sure on how to do that yet. see the thing is, the bike had a pipe and it was jetted for a pipe, but he kept the pipe and left it jetted for a pipe. sounds confusing, but i figure if i just put a pipe back on it it should run fine. if it doesn't i will try doing what you said. thanks alot.

problem is every pipe is a bit different so what he jetted for I'd assume a full system may be different then what you put on. youll know if after you put the pipe on the bikes running rich or lean.
