Sup I figured this was worth talkin about. So last wed. Im rolling out of Gaines on my R1 n Im behind this blazer thats doing like 10-12 MPH n its a curve w/ double yellow line coming out of town there.(so I cant see to pass ) anyway the guy FINALLY turns n I just wack the throttle(still in 1st @ that speed)the front tire`s doing it`s antigravity act n almost immedietly I see argentine township cop lit up n already 1/2 way turned around to pull me over Had a bad feeling about running(out here a cow would proly run out in front of me) so I pull over n I claim not to have broken the speedlimit- I saw 51MPH indicated and after some discussion we agreed that my speedometer doesnt read right when a wheely is in progress.He told me it was my lucky day cuz he`s a nice guy n -uh he rides . K so monday Im riding to Lansing w/ my freinds "Q"(RC51) and Tod(ZZR1200) and Im doin some pretty descent standups on I-69 its a long stretch n hardly any traffic :YEAH we got pulled over n they only wanted to talk to ME apparently some woman on a cell phone called n said she was worried I`d wipe out,then she`d run me over n she`d have to live w/ that the rest of her life. Im not sure if he coulda wrote me a ticket cuz he didnt actually see me do anything but nonetheless I was extremly polite to my newfound freind w/ a badge n agreed to mellow out n he let us get on w/ the ride.cool huh?

We as a group all love to ride wheelies but need to do our best to do this away from cars. What the lady said on the cell phone is true, if you bite it your also getting ran over by a car......both of which would hurt. We all need to do a better job of picking our spots to ride wheelies. No cars in the immediate distance is best and nighttime even better. Sounds like you were lucky with the cops, wish I had that luck.

I know who called n it was a yellow cavalier that was WAY behind us Had to be it was the only car behind us as far as the Eye could see,and nobody in front sept a semi proly 3/4 mile ahead.seemed perfect to me-guess not,but the only way she`d a hit me is if she 1. dindnt change lanes(witch she had all the room in the world to do) or 2. she had some disability that kept her from braking 20-25 seconds after she weanted to. or 3 she wanted to hit me.dude, she was way back there! proly pissed cuz she was afraid to pass us n could go as fast as she wanted

 

now im afraid to do them just about anywhere,they could be oncoming n 2 miles away but they all look like cops to me! this sucks! fricken badges!

 

Learned my lesson last year, I won't wheelie unless I know what's behind me and I can make out the on coming cars. Your right, one will probably be a stupid cop.
