Final piece of the winter puzzle.

Sent my air dam and hugger to FastToys in florida for painting. Wanted them Yamaha Blue to match bike, as they come factory dull black. Guy was fast, reasonable and did excellent job with color and gloss. Only thing left is to get it dynoed and mapped, gotta wait for spring to break before that happens.

Mods done this winter.

New Pilot Powers
New -1/+2 Driven sprockets and 520 EK chain
Speedo Healer
Pazzo Black Levers
SS brake lines
Carbon Two Brothers Exhaust
Power Commander
Gutted Cat Converter
Integrated Tail Light
Greggs Flush Mounts
Polished Wheels

New Arai Helmet to match bike (Tommy Gun Blue)

After you get 20 miles on it and go to sell it, let me know I'm interested.

Looks good Tony! I'm so jealous of your bike, I'll try to stand a few feet back so I don't leave any drool marks.

And where do you guys to go get a dyno tune? What program do they use if anyone knows? I didn't get a chance to really look but I though Matts new PC3 had pretty good capabilities, too bad you can't get a live feedback...we'll have to put 02 sensors on that baby..

Since you went through all this work you'll HAVE to come riding more this summer :YEAH

Re: Final piece of the winter puzzle.

do all your power mods, then custum map on the dyno- to me thats the ONLY way to go. and BRIGHTON SUPERBIKE is the only place in Mich. to have it done. James got 16hp on my 03R1. you can see the before and after stuff there and you get a copy to take home yaaah

Re: Final piece of the winter puzzle.

Ya brighton superbike is where i am going.. i think its 300 for map/dyno. I removed my 02 sensor because it throws off the air/fuel mixture for mapping and it gets rid of that annoying poping on deceleration. It also makes getting at the spark plugs much easier. I used graves smog block off plates they were a pain to get in (tight area) but if you're gonna get it mapped its a must have.

Oh I will ride much more this season.. last year was bad with new job and all that crap. I am ready for a good season this year for sure. I hardly got to ride the new bike at all.

Re: Final piece of the winter puzzle.

yup, $300.00 to map it-but worth it:YEAH HorsePower rocks but on top of that is the very noticable improvement in the delivery of that power as well. only downfall is that none of us really need that power and half of us can't even use the full potential of our bikes before mods anyways but it sure is nice when some guy with a mustang w/ NOS thinks he has sumthin and you make him re-think all that time n money he just spent!

Coming from the car engine dyno tuning world...excuse my ignorance but what is a smog block off plate? Emissions kind of smog? And why would an 02 sensor throw off A/F? The whole purpose of the sensors is to make sure you always run at stoich. Unless, I assume you want to run a lower A/F for power enrichment?

Maybe I mispoke as I am not in the automotive world.. puts fresh air into your exhaust gases (basically emissions ****). From what I hear that can throw off the fuel/air mixture readings on a dyno/map process they recommend you take it off.

Its this hunk of ****...
