Thanks for any help you can give me.
The only benefit for capping this is that if you get the bike dyno'd with your PCM3 then this AIS will throw off the air to fuel reading on the dyno.

I plan on getting mine dyno'd this spring so I took it off.. oh ya it does eliminate the popping on deacceleration as well.

I gutted my cat it does mainly two things that I have read about... one it unrestricts the airflow and makes the exhaust a bit more throaty and two it reduces the *** heat with the under tail exhaust. The cat traps heat and acts as heating coils under your ***.. creating a bit more heat.

The mod takes not much time just remove the mid pipe under the seat and take a hammer and big flathead screwdriver and beat the cat coils out. Well worth it for comfort on hotter days with undertail exhaust.

Re: Final piece of the winter puzzle.

Here is the midpipe you need to remove (easy) to get at cat.

Here is the cat inside pipe.

Here is it removed (just hit big flathead in fins and work it loose,it will come out in pieces just takes some time).

And finally here is a hot chick in a thong for your enjoyment.

Tony - you suck for posting that pic.

I learn something new every day. We've started using that type of system again, now it's cleaverly called "secondary AIR" ...ooooohh

Hey, do motorcycles also have to go through the emission testing in other states besides Michigan to get recertified every year?

Its clear alternatives integrated light. Blinkers and stop in one with 2 times the leds. Its nice. No coolant is right on cold mark where it should be when it was not on when I took the pic.
