There was a man who was a real miser when it came
to his money. He loved money more than just about
anything. Just before he died, he made his wife
promise to put all his money into the casket with him.
She agreed.

A few months later the man died, and just before
the undertakers closed the casket, the wife said
"Wait just a minute!" She walked over to the casket
and placed a shoe box into the casket.

Her friend said, "I hope you weren't crazy enough
to put all that money in the casket." She said, "Yes, I
promised him that I would and that's what I did."

"You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the
casket with him?" "I sure did," said the wife. "I transferred
all the money into my account, wrote him a check, and placed the
check into the shoe box."
