This sucks!!

Why are all the topics locked? This is my first post and it was supossed to be a question. Anyways i think maybe someone here could answer this for me. I am about to get a 2000 996 superhawk. Is this bike any good for anything other than just a comfy ride? Are the v twins sucky for stunts? I have never ridden a v-twin before and this will be my first REAL bike. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

P.S nice site, with the exception of all the stuff being LOCKED!!!

You can stunt whatever you want but if I was you I'd spend that money on a 929, 900rr,gsxr750 . my two cents

I was thinking the same thing, but I am getting a killer deal here. My cousin works at a bike shop and can get this one just over the trade in. Maybe I should hold out, since there is snow here in michigan and there isnt any sense in riding in the snow.

see if your cousin could get you a deal on a 954. those are for stuntin'. if you can't swing that, find you a used 929 or 900 and

I've got a '98 Superhawk - check out "hello from uk". It will pick up the front with no trouble on just the throttle on standard gearing in first and second. Being a twin the torque is low down the rev range so you don't have to rev as high to get the front up which is a good thing should things go wrong (in my opinion). The front end is quite soft making endo's a bit easier as well because the forks dive that bit quicker too.

I would tend to agree with DLish on this one. Why buy a minty bike to stunt it? Its gonna get the crap kicked out of it. Granted HONDA's take a lickin and keep on tickin!

Yeah i'd hold out for a 929 or 900rr but you can stunt whatever your budget allows you. my r6 will just have to do till i can afford somethin' else.
