troubles on handbrake....
Re: troubles on handbrake....
don't just pump it... it's easier with someone helping you and a vacuum brake bleeder... if you don't have one, get someone to help you... open bleeder, squeeze lever, close bleeder, release lever... it will take patience but it will work... make sure you stay on top of your resevoir level or you will continue to suck in air...

Re: troubles on handbrake....
No, its: Pump, open, close, pump, open, close. Once its reasonably hard, Pump the crap out of it and use a velcro strap or something to hold it there (squeezed pretty hard) for a while, go and tap all the lies and gently pinch the resi line. After a few times it will be solid as a rock. Also do this sequence a few times and each time crack a different bleeder or banjo bolt. Make sure to have plenty of towel around

Not
, you said to Open the bleeder, then pump, then close. Thats wrongYou Pump it first, then open to let air out, then close.
Im new to brake bleeding but I just did a **** job last week.
Re: troubles on handbrake....
I just did my handbrake on my F4i... exactly like I said and there's no problems... not the first handbrake I've done... not the first bike I've built... and certainly not the first job done with brakes or brake bleeding... I don't pump... I gently squeeze the lever in... close... then release... no "pumping" involved... the only times I've resorted to this method was either when I didn't have my vacuum bleeder or (as in the case with my F4i) my vacuum bleeder broke... all in all, I've never had a problem with my sytem... I have however seen plenty of problems with "pumping" the brakes... as I stated, aeration of the fluid is a bitch to deal with...
