Cbr1000rr
Hope nobody has anything too bad to say about them, cuz i think I'm gonna pick one up this weekend. Any negative comments, let me know now though. Otherwise, i'll let you know if i get it and how i like it
Re: Cbr1000rr
susposed to be a pretty good bike...maybe not the best for stunting type riding but should be one of the best for actual riding. Not the fastest, not the most powerfull but from what i've read is susposed to have really good handling and is just a hair off in the power and speed department...but who is really going to be using the upper edge of a 1000cc sportbike these days anyways. Overall, in my opinion you should love the bike. Basically, from looking at dyno graphs, it looks like the power delivery is like a gixxer 1000 that has had the dips/valleys filled in to make it really smooth. Be prepared though, it is a heavy bike ( i know a little something about heavy bikes lol...just check our my name...) but the heaviness should make it really smooth on bumpy roads... Anysways, thats just my
whatever you get, keep the rubber side down and have fun... :YEAH

yeah man, I'm looking foward to it, only things i dont like about it: at first i wasnt a big fan on the undertail exhaust, but its growing on me, and thats just asthetics anyway. the other thing is their electonic controlled steering dampner. Dont know how well that will hold up, but the reviews are good on it. Like i said, we'll see

Re: Cbr1000rr
its probably the best bike for the street. dont get one if you want to stunt the design is harder to stunt and is set up for racing. as far as all the hype ive seen so many different comparisons, each one was different. one was within 1hp of the ninja and 1 lbtq more then the ninja. you cant go wrong with this bike. its was very easy to get adjusted to it and as far as the who is faster its all in the rider.

yea i know...i just meant that if you take into account the weight of the bikes these days, by those standards it is a heavy bike...I did not mean it in any way to knock the bike...i think it is a sweet bike. Hell lol most bikes are heavy by todays standards unless they are really new...
As far as stunting goes...any bike with that much horsepower is going to wheelie pretty easily..hell any bike can wheelie just some take more skill than others..I think all that was meant by this bike not being the best for wheeling is that its weight is carried low and a little forward which makes it handle really well but makes it not come up quite as quick as say a gixxer or 10r. Dont get me wrong if you want it to come up it will lol but it will be a little less likely to come up on "accident" under hard accelerating...Just my

From what I have heard, it tries to get out from under you in a wheelie. A friend of mine had one ( got stolen, out of his house) and he was about to trade it in for another 954. He said that as soon as it came up, it started to wobble side to side. Also, Alan Dowds with Superbike magazine wrecked on doing a wheelie during the press release. If he loses a sitdown as easily as he did, I wouldnt trust it.
Re: Cbr1000rr
with the UNIT PRO LINK suspension it will easliy flip over near the BP. this suspension is set up to keep the front planted. you may be able to get it up with the clutch but under power it will just want to stay down. dont get me wrong it will come up but not like any other litres.
it weighs in at 395 dry and about 420 wet. the wieght comes from how the bike is setup. the longer swingarm. how all the motor is designed and with the wieght more forward and low. that makes it easliy flippable when up i n the air. with this bike and its added weight it keeps it more stable at all speeds. bike is so easy to get adjusted to it and it steers itself in the corners where this bike is designed for. this bike is actually light feeling, you wont noticed the wieght if you ride it hard in the corners

the CBR is a good bike, and the electronic damper works really well, but the bike is seriously about 10hp down off a R1 or a 10R and its heavier.
if your gonna spend 10 grand on a bike, don't get the one that people talk about as such "its way down on HP, its heavier, but it handles well"
the R1 and 10R are lighter, faster and in the real world get beat all day long. and between me and all my boys we got 4 10R's 3 2004 R1's and two CBR1000's, i know what they all can do.
they all have long swing arms, so in a wheelie it puts alot of weight in the air, away from the ground, so they are more prone to whoobles that a old school RR. my 10r wheelies fine with no prob
if you already got the bike, dont take this the wrong way, but they cost the same, why not buy the better machine.
Re: Cbr1000rr
you heard wrong!!!!!!!!
just believe me, i dont have time to go hunt down the dyno graph. lol
fact is, you have four bikes to pick from, and the CBR is the worst, why would you buy it...
the new GSXR1000 does still hold its own in the street, you def can't sleep on em, but the 10 is the fastest. and with a AK full system and a PCIIIusb on two of my friends bikes, they get over 10hp more. one of em runs oxygenated gas and gets 7 more on top of that

R1 maybe be the machine for joe smoel. so dont tell ppl to go out and get the better machine. ppl get waht they want
you can take a bone stock R1 or ZX10 to a road race track and compete with professionals, you can not do that with a CBR.
you buy sport bikes for speed and manuverability, and the R1 and the 10 defeat the RR in every category. if you argue anything else, you need to buy a cruiser....
i aint arguing with you no more, if you want a demonstration in any type of race or stunt, you let me know, then i will direct you to where you can trade in that bike you got
