I love my gixxer. I like the power, and the way those extra CC's help out when you want them. Before this bike I had a tweeked TL1000R, and before that (still got it) a 1200s bandit. My 600 experiance is very limited. The one I rode was pathetic (96 ZX6R with over 80,000 miles on it and 3 year old tires) so I have never gotten to see the potential of one. But I have to say, there is no replacemant for displacement.
Re: Cbr1000rr
Are you gonna stunt ride or are you gonna drag knee? I read that the swingarm is suppose to keep your front end more towards the ground than hanging at a balance point. I wouldn't want to stunt a bike that had that.
If your gonna drag knee then i here that bike rocks.

Re: Cbr1000rr
yeah, its a fine line, cuz i like doing both. I love backroads, but i love pulling wheelies too. Right now on my F3 the backroads are fun, but i want a little more. On the streets, its work to get it up in 2nd on the interstate. My other main thing is comfort, so i can ride for a couple hours and not be sore. The other thing is reliablilty, I've always liked Honda for durability. I love the gixxers, ride my friends 750 and 1000 all the time, their awesome, just dont like them for riding a lot, take one on the track though. Anyway, just gotta ride it for a while, and hope i like it

Dude, do you live in your own little world? I have no problem running circles around most people in my area who ride 1000's. Sometimes some bad *** will walk away from me on his 600. Do you not realize that the rider makes the speed,,,not the bike?? But, I don't own a 1000 so I must be full of ****, right?
Fact is, no matter who you are, there is always gonna be someone else who is faster or quicker...and yes, this includes people on ZX12's who think they know it all. You told that kid to go get a real bike?? Are you saying that his 600RR and and F3 aren't real bikes. Aside from straight line performance, I'm sure I could get on his 600rr and roast your big fat ZX12r... :YEAH

if you get beat on the street by a 600 and you have a 1000, you suck...
and i live in DC, so take your little "king of the town" attitude somewhere else. cause what you and some other people say on here is straight up novice, dumb sheit and don't fly around here
so bring your little bike on out with your gay 1000RR friend, and take your pick from drag racing, road racing, street riding, or stuntin, cuz i got em all covered.........

Re: Cbr1000rr
Here's one I've been pondering about the 1000rr with all the "long swingarm" talk;
Most of what I read about riding wheelies here (also viewed in Wheelies from Dummies) aside from making transitions between stunts easier, people talk about standing while in a wheelie being safer, more stable, and easier to control balance wise. Reason given for standing is it puts more of the weight higher which makes balancing easier. That makes sense to me.
If the 1000rr has a couple inches or so longer swingarm than the others ( I have no idea what the actual difference is between the bikes ) and the seat is a bit more forward than the others ( I think this is also the case ) then wouldn't a 1000rr be more easily balanced than the others with the weight being higher up in a wheelie? Just a thought.

I cant even explain how big of an *** clown you are. You have no idea what your talking about which is painfully obvious by your posts, and you have to be one of the biggest meat heads on here if you think that a 1000 is the only "real" bike on the market. Good luck with your inferiority complex
