Omr Subcage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Omr Subcage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for the long multi post in advance.
Total cost $450 for Mikes motor. I bought the parts bike for $800 and made $1200 on the sale of stuff so in reality I only spent $50. Its more about all the time I've put in so far
Nothing should be wrong with the harness coz the bike was running fine before cracking the motor which is why I didnt swap the harness yet. The only thing that I changed initially was the motor which is why I thought it was motor related. I did however swap out the ECM, rectifier, relays, battery from the bike along with items from the motor itself but its now doing it on the 2nd motor so I dunno

I visually inspected all of the wiring and did not see anything wrong - no frayed wires, melted wires, cut wires, etc. On the first motor I swapped out the stator & the starter motor as well as ecm relays rectifier and umm whatever else is listed in my thread lol.
Why would it be ignition problems? Only does it when the bike is hot. I did check the wires coming from the ignition and they all look good
Plus the ignition was fine prior to putting in the new motor
none of that would even apply coz it only does it when the bike is warm.
swapped the ecm already.

when we were at nicks place we had the battery hooked up to his car getting a boost from the whip. even with the car battery hooked up to the bike battery, we still had problems starting when the bike was hot
yes but doesnt push start as easy as it should. takes a couple of tries to get it started.
thats the plan. im about to head into the garage to work on that in a few.
yes you did and i got video. ill post it up later.
I wish I wouldve swapped the wiring harness before putting a new motor in but I had no reason to believe it was the harness. Everything worked fine until I cracked my motor. the only thing new to the bike was the motor so why would the harness be bad all of a sudden. And I changed everything I was told to change except for the starter clutch. No one said try the harness so I never tried it only because like I said the harness was fine prior to the motor swap and the only thing new to the equation was the motor.
weeks - more like months. I'm going on over 2 months without riding. I did one wheelie on my friends bike yesterday and mousetrapped and almost got thrown over the bars

Yeah Im hoping thats what it is now. After all the time wasted I just wanna figure this bitch out already
lol i cant see that **** happening.
aint that the truth
i got that **** on video - gangsta
I'll +1 nags on that - your exhaust is a lil loud.
If you think about it , nothing should really be wrong with his harness .
His problems started when his engine broke . So he replaced it and then he had problems . It had nothing to do with the harness . So how can it be the harness ? You would think something that was installed with the 1st engine swap would be the culprit .
Very fucked up .
I wonder how much he has spent swapping all the parts he has replaced trying to fix the problem .

Plus the ignition was fine prior to putting in the new motor cold thick oil can make it hard to start but he was having this problem before it was very cold ..
and once the motor is warmed up all clearances are tighter especially ring and piston , you also have hot gasses in the cylinder that are not there when the motor is cold

iirc, its harder to push start when its warm, but it will work if u got a nice hill.
his battery is a weird ebay one, but we swapped it with mine, and it started my bike no problem.
No havent tested resistance. Hes replaced the starter solenoid and the + cable with it, and he just did the motor yesterday which replaces both the starter and the ground hi amp wires

- The 03-06 CBR 600RR , 03-05 Yamaha R6 ,03 04 gsxr 1000 and the f4i pegs are lowered and moved back and out for better peg position! !
- The 01-03 GSXR 600 and 750 have the pegs moved out two inches because of the big tail section
- THE 07 600RR pegs are located 2-1/2 inches lower and 3 inches wider (Than stock)
- All other omr subframe cage models are in the stock location except they are rotated on their axis so they don't fold up unless you fold them up, this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie.
- omr subcages are available for all makes and models but only the ones listed above are available for shipping
