OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
the price of diesel trucks is very low compared to a year ago. lately ive been seeing 90's diesels going for only a couple grand more than 90's gassers. This time last year it was hard to find a running diesel truck for under 10 grand.

- The 03-06 CBR 600RR , 03-05 Yamaha R6 ,03 04 gsxr 1000 and the f4i pegs are lowered and moved back and out for better peg position!
- The 01-03 GSXR 600 and 750 have the pegs moved out two inches because of the big tail section
- THE 07 600RR pegs are located 2-1/2 inches lower and 3 inches wider (Than stock)
- All other omr subframe cage models are in the stock location except they are rotated on their axis so they don't fold up unless you fold them up, this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie.
- omr subcages are available for all makes and models but only the ones listed above are available for shipping

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
Mods:
Intake, exhaust, tuner. Torque converter helps too.
I have fit 3 f4i's back there with the tailgate shut. Scoots, Borne's and mine. ***** fits 3 bikes in the back of his all the time.
I think so. It is the biggest SUV Ford makes now that the Expedition is gone (superduty SUV).
Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
It's going to be even better in a few months.
Mike another 6" lift with 37's. I really think this is the magic combination for crew cab superduties:

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
I bought exactly a year too early, but the s-10 didn't have another year in it.

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
I know. A tuned cummins can put down 600HP 1200 ft/lbs and get 24-27MPG. Now you know why I want to do the swap.
Price of that swap?
Displacement on demand is not a mod. Diesels only burn as much fuel as they need so they lean way out on the highway.
Mods:
Intake, exhaust, tuner. Torque converter helps too.
how is it not a modification if one buys a car that doesn't come with that option?
Getting 22MPG vs 15 MPG is a huge %age difference. Then look at the %age more that diesel costs. Come on you are an engineer, do the math first.
yes, that's a large percentage, but since i don't need such a large truck a V6 Taco suits me just fine, and it gets the same mileage but with cheaper fuel. the costs that i'm used to would go up.

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
i was referring to the fuel. as far as the trucks, i want to finance 20 grand and put some change down, if its a brand new truck. if i find something for under 20 grand then i'm set.

They came with gas engines, but they get like 11MPG.

Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
I don't think you can add the MDS to a vehicle that didn't come with it. That's why Niner said it wasn't a mod. The MDS in the full size trucks doesn't seem to do anything. The avalanche guys say they can't get it to stay in 4 cyl. mode. They are having the best luck putting it in "trailer tow" mode but that keeps the revs up so you're probably not gaining anything.
Re: OMR SUBCAGE [subframe cage]
i think it looks pretty dope. i wouldnt own do all that, personally, cuz its too redneck-ish but it would certainly help with the constant flooding we have down here.

i could see it being real good on a vehicle that normally rolls with minimal resistance, but sometimes pulls trailers too
