subframe cage
Re: subframe cage
you asked this question before ....
i put it here because it wasn't a for sale thread when it started it just turned in to one
i posted pics of what i built for my bike and knowing how most of my threads turn out i put it in the echoes but then people started asking me to build these cages for them

just tryin to be helpful didn't need someone insinuating a kick in the head for it ...

Re: subframe cage
hey debo................
i haven't had any one out of all the cages i have sold ever say any thing about the cage hitting the tire .......
i even have a couple tandem riders with my cage on there bike and no complaint so you shouldn't have any problems......
if you have your rear spring real loose[tighten your rear sping] i guess it could hit but other then that it shouldn't hit.....
i have my rear spring set so there is no sag in my rear suspension meaning if i lift up on my twelve bar the suspension barely moves a quarter of an inch before the tire comes off the ground, this is the way a stunt bike should be set up any ways [better for stoppies and circles]

Re: subframe cage
i don't really mind where it is and the kick in the head clip in my quote was an edit wasn't really in my quote....
Re: subframe cage
OK maybe that was a little harsh
LOL, but it was just too funny to pass up, hahahahaha, and you did ask this question once before.... remember? Even if you did move it out of here it probably wouldn't be long before it was back in so what would be the point?

Re: subframe cage
if any one with an f4 wants to i could compare the measurment to see if they will interchange.....[the f4 and f4i subframe cage]
distance from center to center on the mounting holes or from left side of rear hole to left side of front hole[same thing] [check both right and left side]
distance from mounting surface of peg bracket right side and left [out side to out side]
distance from under tail to lowest point of mounting tabs ,this measurment would need to be taking with a straight edge placed straight across the subframe and heald up to the lowest point of the mounting brackets and then measure from the center and top of the straight edge to the under tail at a 90 degree angle i could better explain over the phone if any one with an f4 is interested in doing this then pm me and i will give you my #
ps thanks r6 hooligan i know the 01 02 03 are all the same when was the first f4i made ?

Re: subframe cage
ok so far it looks like the 01 02 03 are the same and the 99- 00/ 04 -05 will not work with this cage unless it would fit in between the two tabs on each rail with a spacer maybe.....hmmmmmm
if i were to ship four spacers with each cage to gowhere the stock 99 00 04 05 brackets went it might just fit ...... gonna have to check this out
hmm looks like the exhaust mount is a little differant also........

Re: subframe cage
hey man i have a 99 f4 and 01 f4i.....
the f4 is 99-00..bananna seat......
01-03 f4i split seat......
04-06....back to bannana...
damn 600rr
oh yea even if you put spacers they might have to cut the tail fairing cause the back pegs are under the tail fairing and the fairing bolts to the rear peg....
