Ryan won't go as far this year. He removed that 30lb lead ballast he had in his belly.

Seeing guys doin em from 85+ mph is crazy as hell. Definitely adds that "holy ****" factor. Definitely not something I would try on my bike (Still have the "Sport-touring" tires that come on the SV, and no dampner). But I think as far as comps go, it is good to have the limited approach. . Joe Brown was saying you can only go so fast, and so high, but wouldn't the bike itself have a lot to do with it? Weight distrobution, suspension, brakes themselves (all the stuff Cramer was saying) Not to mention surface/tire temps etc... all can come into play with something like a stoppie right? That's some crazy **** rolling 500+ ft. on a 300 ft. approach, but I don't mind watching guys roll 800+ ft. from 100 mph.

Wow, now I know I'll be changing my front end and puttin' the slick on the front. I'm a bigger guy say 230lbs, does that have anything to do with it, I can do some good ones, unlimited approach, I tried the 300ft approach a week ago and reminded me of when I first tried to learn stoppies, with speed and all, so I got some more work to do. After talking to Matt L, I realize I need to get rid of the Dunlop on the front of the bike. I've got the Pirelli slicks, but I'll probably only use the front. I'll let y'all know how it goes...... Late........................Free C.

more weight should equal = more energy stored = goes longer if the starting speed/height/brake usage is the same.

It wouldnt be that hard, just 2 sensors placed a given distance apart. The judges would use the time between the two distances to calculate the speed. If it was over the limit, rider is DQed. It would be up to the rider to have a working speedo and keep an eye on it though, which may suck.
