Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE

the impact this show made started around 10:10 pm. that's when my phone started ringing off the ****ing hook. i had people calling me who knew of the stuff we were into but never had seen any of it. people from other states, people i have not seen or talked to in 6 months.

we had a premier type party which our local WINGHOUSE helped support. they turned all the tv's on for the show. We had around 500 people come out. the place was packed and everyone liked the show. these were fans of stunting, not stunters. they liked the drama , they like it all, it gave them **** to talk about....

the impact was made....and the segmant was actually better than i expected.

mad props to Drew, Evan for the stepping stone to bigger things.

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE

Yeah that's what I'm talking about... The reactions of people who don't stunt or who aren't familiar with the world. I had a friend of mine who has no idea what this life is about watch it... He was amazed at the skillz required to pull off some of those stunts. He was more amazed at the simple **** than some of the more technical stunts. He didn't even mention the drama that was shown... He said he knows that's a part of life and that's what networks are gonna show because it sells...

So basically I'm saying give the world a little bit of credit... Sure for the most part they are sheep easily lead to slaughter... but I think they can figure out some **** for themselves.

Any publicity is good publicity. This whole thing we call a sport has been at a stand still for the last 3-4 years. I'm still skeptical if this or any other broadcast on national TV will really make anything "take off"

stands to be seen

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE

Ok This won't be a popular opinion but I was dissapointed. Everyone I asked to watch the show that was curious about the culture. Gave me a negative reply when I asked them there opinion. You might say screw them who cares. But those are the people who will feed the sport. You need more people who don't ride buying movies, tee shirts, bikes, or just paying to watch. Thats when all the guys out there busting there *** for a sport that they do for love will get the recognition and payday they deserve. A lot of what I saw was drama. The team that said we ride for fun barely got any airtime. I would have liked to see maybe some of my favorites like the Starboyz, LV Extremes, and LBZ. They have been doing the damn thang before it was cool or pop. It was a nice try but I know there is something great waiting to come out of this culture. God Knows how many Torque's or Biker Boyz can we live through.

I was really impressed with the way everything came together. How there were three different views and perspectives of the sport. Would have liked to see more street views but it was really well put together. Congrats to everyone who was a part of it.

i thought it was really good, an hour on mainstream television, i liked the whole thing, i thought Tony came off like too much an *******, which he is NOT, he may be to some, but tony was making some valid points, and so was kyle, i dunno, 36 million people got to see what were about, now what are we going to do with it?

Glad to see it went to a company that supports the sport rather then one that ignores it. :YEAH

I think Tony D was talking to Ecko (could be wrong) but they never got a mention. Joe Rocket got some product shots in the jackets. Hope those jackets were free. Kyle had a Alpine Star hat on. The store they went into got a front shot of the store.

This is stuff I look at. MTV is NO JOKE big. Companies want prime time exposure and from the perspective, it was a total sucess. A sticker on a bike at an event attended by 2,000 people doesn't impress them as much as 36 million viewers on MTV. The more primetime exposure the sport gets, the bigger the companies will come.

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE

i thought it was pretty cool being a new guy to the stunt scene.. it was kinda good to finally put faces to names i mean i have heard of pbr, gearedup, tony d and kyle... i was at stuntwars and sad to say i lfet before the best stunt comp but i had a balst watching everyone go nuts busting out tricks.. i have to give tony d mad props for getting a team together that quick and winning but at the same time it in my opinion i think it was a slap in the face to team xxx extreme but i understand the tension and it was going to happen sooner or later.... again i thought it was a good show and now i know if i see a group of guys wearing pitbull stuff not to pull a wheelie on them so i dont get shown how to do it ten times better
