Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
i thought it was well done, although i wish there was more street footage. i have the same view as digidy, just have fun. woods and tony d were arguing too much and getting tooo serious, relax, ride, have fun.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
I don't feel as if the episode broke any ground for the "sport" but I do feel like it did a good job of showing the effort, determination and dedication that guys who are in the sport exemplify. I think it'll still be underground. Well done but overall to me the show had somewhat of a somber feeling.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
yeah i was expecting a little more stuntin footage....the whole triple X thing was too much of a soap opera...digidy was 100% right about just having fun. overall, the show was much better than the usual true life bull.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
i thought it was put together well. i know alot of people were worired how they would portray this so called sport, it think they did well...
congrats to everyone on there, awesome job, what a great thing to have under ur belt, at least inmy opinion it was...
the drama is awesome, becuase it was real, no fake ****, thast part of life, drama, between teams, friends etc, whoever comes out of it, stays together, if they dont they dont...
congrats on that...
digidy, **** what can i say...words talking to heart, so real...made the show in my opinion !

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
ehh the show was kinda so so for me.
Gotta respect the mentality of the Geared Up guys. Truly wanting to make their mark on the world and wanting to dedicate themselves to this sport. Even if it means living a harder life.
PBR has the same mentality as me also. I don't really worry about getting into the X Games or having this sport hit it big. I like the underground mentality and "OH ****" factor that people have when they see this stuff.
Woods and Tony were a riot. But in my minds eye they potrayed Kyle as a complete *******. I've never met Kyle or Tony, read some posts on here but have nothing to judge on other than that. But it ended up looking like Kyle was an egotistical ******* who wanted to "run" his team with a dictatorship mentality and Tony ended up looking like an over achiever with "larger than life" goals. Again this isn't my opinion but what it came across to me based on the show.

I thought overall it was a good episode. I have followed the scene for a while and can't wait for it to get the shine it deserves, like an X-Games spot.
Big props to Geared Up. I met them cats in Daytona and they were super cool. I wish them the best of luck.
You gotta love PBR's outlook on riding and life. True to the game and do it simply for the love.
Triple X, there are always two sides to everything. On one hand I agreed with Kyle's points about Tony coming in and "taking over" so to speak. Stopping to think things out like how exactly your going to approach sponsors can make you or break you. At the same time, Tony gave up everything he had up north for this and you have to respect his drive and high goals. Its time to shoot big, but again it is all about professionalism and preparation! It was ****ed up though ditching the team at the show itself. It is stuff like that which will always keep the sport from really growing.
I wish them ALL the best and hope this will help propel this sport into mainstream light and these cats that are sacrificing everything can really get rewarded!

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
Digidy no doubt has the best attitude in the sport.
Geared up is dedicated and not too cocky and not to mention very talented.
XXX was like a soap opera, I actually was suprised the way that part came out. I gained respect for one person and lost alot of respect for another,, figure out which one.

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
some people need to check their egos at the door, and just ride, its a fun sport, dont make it into some 7th grade bs about stupid stuff, get over it and take it like a man, PBR was the only " true life" team out there,
p .s. to much track stuff not enough streets, and its not all about the money, dont gloat ur money in front of the camera, you dont see travis pastrana flashing his cash at the x games win he wins a medal do ya, no offense but thats why this sport anit getting no respect, casue we got stupid wanna be thugs(not everyone) making drama..... just my 2 cents
:YEAH
shut up and just ride!!!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed it. I give Geared-up props for not giving up and also Kyle cause his team left him and it didn't let him get too him. I thought Tony D was a cool guy from Urban Streetbike Warriors DVD until I saw this episode.

That is my feeling exactly. I never had a true opinion because I never met any of them in person but my impression used to be the same an now it seems like Kyle is a pretty straight forward guy who doesn't think he is too good to except any support he can get and Tony D is one of the "Superstars" of the sport who thinks he's Michael Jordan like anyone outside of the stunt scene actually knows who he is. Talk about burning your bridges. How many sponsors will be willing to support someone who talks **** about free stuff given to him before he even leaves the parkin lot. WTF? There are plenty of guys coming up waiting to fill your spot. Think about that.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
Gotta give it up to Drew and Evan Stone for doing an excellent job producing this episode. Mad props to them for putting the stunt community in the mainstream.

Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
although i love watching more street action(i like it a lot better than the track) im glad they didnt show much of it. just for the legal purposes. i really am just worried it will turn into something like kids did to street racing after fast and the furious. i personally blame that movie for horrible reputations of street racing. the movie ruined it and its more trouble than fun anymore. i dont want it to happen to stunters to.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
I know someone that has it on DV and is uploading it as we speak. I will let him know that people are looking for it but i'm not doing the linky linky thing. But he may not want to host it or even show it do to legal rights and **** so will see what happens.
Re: Everyones Reaction To MTVs TRUE LIFE
i see i got on here a little late.....
I thought the overall show was good, very well put together.
I think this will positively impact the movement as a whole, I believe it will help bring more people(younger and older), to events, browsing stunt related websites, hopefully purchasing product, and getting out there and getting bikes, and doing some stunting themselves....
Regardless, of what some of you think, the show definitely did not hurt all of our lifestyle.
Congrats, goes out to first and foremost Drew and Evan Stone(without them, this show would not have been possible), The crews(PBR, TonyD, Geared Up, and TripleX) that spent the time traveling, filming, etc, and everyone else out there doing your thing... stunting, promoting, and having fun(remember why we all started)!!! :YEAH
Until Next time,
Scott
