Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout

The poll results are probably a joke. I would imagine that most folks vote for whatever they ride if there's people choosing SV's.

More people stunt Honda's and GSXR's than Yamaha's and Kawi's. You can stunt anything but of the options you listed I'd say the 929/954 or the Gixxer is the way to go. The 900's are good but not FI. 929 and 954 are an improvement on the 900 from what I've read. I've never wheelied a gixxer so I can't comment but I love just about everything about my 954. Good power, great clutch and awesome brakes. Plus it's a Honda so it'll put up with mad abuse. I am clarifying that this is my opinion from riding my 954, a couple old junkers and a buddies gsxr750. I am in no way an expert but take advice from people who have ridden lots of bikes or check what the pro's are riding. You'll see Honda's and Gsxr's mostly.

Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout

Yo bro Ive ridden the GIX 750 and 1000 and a CBR 900,929,and the 954. If you can find a 929 for the right price get it. Next I would go with the 900 even though it is carb. Then I would go with the 954 which is still badazz but a little touchy or the one I rode was with the 20+ gearing. Both the gixxers are nice to stunt just the fact they have week subframes and the actual frames develop stress cracks in them which is not good at all. Ohh and if you get a gixxer definately invest in the rear mounting oil pickup so you dont starve the engine for oil and blow it up. Well I guess thats all I got to say.
