Ultimate Bike Shootout
What is the best overall bike in stunting, cruzing, comfort, and performance.........04 cbr1000rr, 03 R1, 04 zx-10, rc51, or ducati 999r....and what modifications are needed in any of these bikes to make them the best!

**delicate= breaks esay and cost alot to fix**
cruzing, any bike over a 500cc should cruze nicly, so long as your not stunting it. stunting will mess up the suspension, and gearing it will leave you running much higher RPM them stock, so with enoph gearing your almost hitting redline at 100.
comfort, seriously??? none of them. forget about comfort, get a touring or atlest a hybread if you care about that (also honda usally have stiff seats so you'll want to have padding added.)
all are sweet performance wise, they are all very nice track bikes. I think the ZX-10 would be the fastest, the cbr1000rr probly takes the twistes fastest.
Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout
Seriously, all of the above are so close to being full on race bikes I wouldn't waste the money if you want to stunt it. The DUC especially. That one is the most fragile and exspencive out of the bunch. The RC51 is a wide, fat, heavy pig. This coming from a guy who owned a TLR. The underseat exhaust designs on the majority of these bikes are gona cause issues if you are serious about stunts. Meaning, if you want to add a 12 bar, that's gona be a serious obstical to overcome. Hondas have been known to take abuse. I'll give them that. The ZX10 might be my first chose out of these, although the manufacturers have been on a big kick the last couple years with thining out the wall thickness of the frames for less weight. Kawasaki being one of them. Yamaha, I think, has done the best job with this idea being that the managed to reduce the amount of welds in the frame. So it's really stiff, but still it's like 3mm thiner then the previous R1's. ZX10, does the same thing. If you sit on a ZX10 it fells like a 600, so I would geuss it's hella flickable. The CBR has gone back to using the swingarm piviot in the frame instead of the engine witch makes me feel better as far as strength in the important areas of the suspension. Over all, the new bikes are so focused on being lite, razor handeling, beasts with a lot of styling appointments that any serious stunt duty would develop some issues rather quickly. If you're serious about stunting, do like these guys said. hit the search key and pick one of the older bikes. They're a lot beefier then the new machines and have proven their worth in this arena.
Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout
Cbr1000= Swingarm for twisties
R1= Wobble on distant wheelies and oil gets in the airbox while 12'n and bar tricks.
RC51= Are designed for track use. Very uncomfortable.
ZX-10=I think that bike weighs almost 500lbs along with the CBR1000.
Ducati= pimp to ride and feels really light on the twisties, but once you get that front wheel off the ground it feels like a heavy *** ZX-7R.
I'm not sure which one would be the best for cruising comfort.

Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout
Funny you missed the only one that's a good stunt bike. GSXR1k. Mostly people stunt Honda's and Zuk's. The new Honda 1k isn't great for stunting so the Gixxer is what's left.
Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout
any honda in the 900cc range, i.e. 900rr, 929, 954... hell, even my bike, an f3.... why buy something new if youre just gonna trash it stunting??? and take my word for it, you will...
Re: Ultimate Bike Shootout
First of all the ZX- 10 is superlight. The R1 is way stable compared to the older R1's and I wanna know who started saying the cbr1000rr is hard to wheelie. In theory the swingarm may make it hard to wheelie but try and say that after riding one. I have ridden all of them except the 999 and they are all wheelie machines.

Everyone talks about the 1000RR's swingarm but i think that i say Darius rocks the 1000RR in the most recent SuperStreetbike. so it can be done!
The R1, 1000RR, and the ZX-10R are inline 4's so they wont suffer as badly from oil starvation like the rc51 and the 999s. in the end it is your choice and you should get whatever one fits you the best.
