Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

The kid that won did NOT do a watchtower... If you werent there you dont know., But Rodg is just mad because he isnt the best in the game and is trying to bring down everyone to his level.

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

Oh and let me repost.... AGAIN...
-----------------------------------------
Let me clairify exactly what happened... This was the sickest trick competition which is an event that is upposed to showcase the best new tricks out. And the winner should be someone who pulls offa trick that is brand new and unheard of. These days the tricks are so limited cause someone is doing everything you could imagine.... or so we think. So as to not limit the amount of entrys we didnt call it sickest new trick like we did last year because we only had a couple entrys with that name. Anyway...

Play by play... In this event you get 3 passes to pull off your trick.
Rodgers run:
1st pass he came out and scraped a highchair, 2nd pass scraped a highchair again, and the 3rd pass he scraped 6 times in a row! It was awesome!!
Toasts run:
He came out did a wheelie and put the bike on the bar. He proceeded to jump to the seat while the bike is still moving, then out of nowhere he jumps up onto the headlights on his F4i... While the bike is moving... one fluid motion he jumps from the seat to one foot on each headlight and stands straight up... towering 6-7 feet abover the track with his bike moving he is standing on the headlights.
None of us had ever seen that trick before. We have seen the watchtower variations, staning on the frame sliders, sittin on the front fairing, one footy on the tank one on the to, even standing on the fork tubes, but to jump from the seat to the headlight and stand vertical in one fluid motion none of us had ever seen.
We had already watched a few guys scraping highchairs in the individual freestyle qualifying. Its an awesome, difficult and technical move but isnt a new trick as Kyle Woods video of him parking highchairs came out almost a year ago. Many of my friends park highchairs and many competitors at teh event can park them. None of them entered the sickest new trick event with that because it is not a new trick.

Rodgers trick was surely more technical and probably alot more difficult than Toast's, but that was not the most technical trick competition, it was the best new trick competition also known as sickest trick... We have all seen this event before, whoever comes out with the newest and freshest trick wins. And Toast had it this particular day.

Im sorry if there was a misunderstanding as to if this was sickest trick comp, most technical trick comp, or most difficult trick comp. For suture we will always clairify and will call it something like "NEW TRICK WE HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE THAT WE THINK IS SICK COMPETITION"

Thats all... Sorry about your winning a few hundred dollars Rodg, I wish we were all rich and could hand out piles of cash, but you actually made more monet than I did from the show as I didnt even make a penny (Actually I was givin a nickel that was found near the gate, and so I actually did make $0.05 from the competition) I also made $200 profit form the booth sales. So all things considered Rodg, We both made just $200 all weekend long. Goothing you didnt have to spend $500 in gas!

Just remember! I love you all!!

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

Oh yeah did anyone know this... I KNOW Rodger had no idea about this because he was too busy yelling, screaming and throwing a hissy fit...

Rodger almost got ejected from my event like his teammate did. His teammate didnt have a jacket and continued to ride even after being told not to. But its cool. We all do this stuff on occasion. But when Rodger asked if he could be let back in to compete the next day.. what happenend? Sure! I dont care, they are by boys and they cant win anything if they arent there to compete...
Rodger, after the sickest trick, started screaming and yelling, and running around with his fists clenched and carrying on that he was going to kick everyones asses and we are theives... Wow I havent seen a temper tantrum like that since Jr High...
So the track owner came to me and wanted to know where this guy was that was out of control because he wanted to eject him from the track... I told him he was calmed down and to let him stay, even though he was FAR from calm. WHY DID I DO THIS? Cause Rodger is my buddy and if he went home he couldnt compete. You are welcome Rodger for letting you stay...

While I was being scremed at for playing favorites, being a backstabber, not being a "friend", and being out to see Rodger fail... I thought about the time I was going to Texas and wanted to bring my bike and ride.. but i couldnt bring my biek cause I took my boys Rodger and Merk and thier bikes with me so they could compete. Did I care? Hell no they are my boys! And its more important that they compete then i ride a little
When Rodger couldnt afford a hotel room in Chicago for the IMS show... where did you stay bro? Oh yeah, in my room! What did you pay? Nope nothing. Cause You my boy blue...
When you wanted to get away from Superman and the Loose Cannons... who helped you start your webpage and get your stuff pimpin on StuntLife? Who Rodger?
Who was droppin info to Fast50s to try and pick you up as a sponsored rider? WHo told them all about you and said you were a 50 God around here?

Oh yeah... Your friend.

Remember when I asked you if you could talk to your boss about sponsoring my event last year and you said, "I help people who help me out. And I dont see you helping me out"

Remember your show in Joliet and you said i could probably come set up a booth and sell some stuff. You found out that i can and it would be a free booth all I had to do was pay you with a whole bunch of free stuff...

Where was my friend? hmmm....

Please Rodger, dont you ever pull the friendship loyalty card and favoritism card on me again. Cause you KNOW I have been one of the people who has actually been trying to help you get to the top. And you know this. If you dont know this by now... You are way to self absorbed thinking you are a God when you are just a kid with no job.

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

Venting is one thing, but being a immature sore as$ loser is another thing. The guy that won did not do your typical watchtower standing on the frame sliders, yet he crawled up top of the headlight and stood there. It isn't the newest thing out, but either is highchair scrapes and it was new to the competition scene. It may not be the most technical, but the crowd loves them and there is no doubt in mind mind it is going to hurt if you ball up.

Wasn't it Rodge that got accused of trying to get an easy win at the LSBB by entering the ammature competition instead of entering pro . Man up and stop being such a puss. Try not to embarass yourself by saying you will kick my *** as well .

Oh yeah... Your friend..

10-4 on all that big guy. we have definately been through a lot together, and you've seen me struggle w/ lots of different obstacles. I thank you for the favors you've done for me in the past.

now let me clear some things up that you did not see. first of all I didn't scrape on my first pass, I made it look like I was trying to, but did not scrape. second pass was one scrape. third pass was 6 in less than 200 feet and I rode out 1 handed. didn't toast attempt his watchtower earlier that day during his run in freestyle? i know the statement was made " 20 highchair scrapes we're already done earlier that day in qualifying ... and they we're smoother". so my trick was diluted by j-beats and a handbrake, while toast's trick was glorified because he couldn't nail it during practice/qualifying. Judging shouldn't be affected by what's happened before in TX, or FL, or Australia. It should be based of difficulty, style, and execution. All three of which I dominated in that event on Saturday afternoon.

ya'll can call me the whiniest little bitch/sore loser all you want. I WON THAT COMPETITION in my heart and in the majority of other peoples eyes. Just not in the eyes of the 4 judges, SHUGGS PICKED, that are local hatin' bitches.

here's the fix. find judges that aren't affiliated w/ this industry AT ALL. pick a rider in any other extreme sport, pick a local race car driver, the hot chick at dairy queen, a guy from the race track, whoever it is you have to make sure there neutral. maybe have one guest rider to explain the diffuculty/background of a trick. if your going to use crowd involvement FINE, let the riders know that before their run. afterwards line all the riders and have them yell, we've done it before and it works great. and this "new" part of the competition should be thrown out as well, should be exactly what the comp is/was called "SICKEST TRICK"

I believe that these kind of judges would work... except for the part that the riders doing stunts like the "Crist" and fast wheelies would most likely take first....

Also, if there were judges like your "fix," and am fairly positive that they would have scored you lower, knowing nothing about how hard a highchair scrape is to execute, and most likely loving a "Guardian" PawPaw.... as did the crowd apparently....

my .01 cents,
Scott

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

hypothetical situation

imagine you were me. what would you do? nothing? just let this bs go like it didn't just happen? actually allow yourself to believe you got beat by a bar trick?

give me a break, admit fault, and fix the problem so it doesn't happen again. don't try and make up explanations for something that clearly needs no explanation. tell the thousands of people reading this that you and/or your esteemed judges were wrong in taking money out of my pocket because you/they don't like me as a person. because that's what happened.

grasp this concept - technically speaking one should be able to **** on a judges mother before the competition starts and still win

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

There was no personal bias used in judging even though you think so. You always think everyone has it out for Rodger... Thats not it at all...

The judging was fair... 20 points to each judge.
A "pro" stunter was judging difficulty...
3 other stunters, not big name ones but yet stunters were judging execution, variation, and overall
A non stunter rider who is a stunt fan had the other 1/2 of overall.
All the judges knew the tricks, the level of expertice and were impartial as they were not members of a stunt team.
For overall we had 2 judges... one stunter, one non-stunter for the average joe perspective and the stunt perspective.
You cant get much better than that besides paying someone. Well since I didnt get any money from the event I surely wasnt going to pay someone. But all in all, I didnt and still dont have one complaint about the judging. Neither did anyone else until one person complained about sickest trick.

Thanks everyone who helped to make this event a success.

I believe I personally am done ever assisting to make an event happen as it isnt worth the headache of dealing with pissy people... and with an event like that you will NEVER make everyone happy. I like so many others are done with it. Notice there is no Lone Star Biker Bash this year? Lasy year $25,000 payouts but the event was bashed SOOO Much afterwards that it will most likely never happen again.
Its stuff like this that makes so many people back out.
Stunt Designs, Asphalt Magazine, StreetStyle Magazine, Lone Star, etc etc People get sick of the BS just for the love of the sport and give up on it and go do something that makes money. Oh Well Im gonna go moderate my new website... www.KneedraggerLife.com

Re: watchtower wins 2 years in a row?

Any competetion that uses some type of judges/officials/referees to determine the outcome will receive criticism after the call is made. Why? Because it is a judgement call, aka an opinion.

Did he execute it perfectly?
Did he step on the line?
Was it a ball or strike?

That is just the nature of the beast. And freestyle will always be judged, it has to be, so you can't let a loss get to you so bad. Use it as fuel and make sure next time there will be no confusion as to who was the sickest.

Eliminating this type of situation was one of the major things I focused on with the NSRA. And based on the feedback I received after our event, we were successful. I put a lot of thought into who my judges were going to be, and made sure they knew the judging criteria thoroughly. I picked riders who are all extremely talented at all aspects of stunt riding and it showed in their decisions.

For future reference, any promoter that wants to put on a stunt competition, but doesn't want to deal with this type of situation, get in contact with me. I can provide you with official NSRA judges and competition procedures that are proven and approved by many top stunt riders. As the promoter you can rest assured knowing that no matter what the outcome of the competition, any fault rests on the shoulders of the NSRA. It is only because I have so much faith in my judging crew that I can make these promises.
