Re: How fast did you progress when you started stunting?

Its not how long you've been riding. Its how long you've been practicing. I rode for 2 years, and I couldn't roll endos at all - I tried at every other stop sign I came to. Once I got onto a side street and starting going back and forth and JUST focusing on the tricks, I rolled 50' my first couple of days.

Its 1/2 natural talent/common sense, and 1/2 *****.

Re: How fast did you progress when you started stunting?

I bought a new GIX 600 last June. After about 6 weeks was doing little stoppies and wheelies. End of August I had some 50-100' wheelies and slightly higher endo's.

I have mad dirt experience, from age 9-18. But nothing like Dan Jackson and the like, just riding.

I got rid of my GIX and am looking for something older. I feel that I was more scared to drop my bike than get hurt. Ruining a new bike would have made me cry.

This year I am buying a used bike cash, and stuntin like mad. 1/2 ***** 1/2 talent....

Hey Rick, you need to move back to VA and teach me and my boys some ****. We all can roll the highway standups and short stoppies, but that is about it. There aren't any serious stunters around Va Beach so it makes it hard to watch a video and then go out and try some ****. It would be alot easier with someone to explain, demonstrate, critique! You da man!

Re: How fast did you progress when you started stunting?

A few weeks after getting on a bike for the first time I pretty much mastered the Christ on the seat. One day I just lost it and went bouncing across the ground. I have not made much progress since then. I definately agree that with a better bike, and a wider seat, things would have been different.

Re: How fast did you progress when you started stunting?

i got my first bike ever, an 01 r6. rode that around till i was comfy, about 8 months.
then starting trying wheelies in first gear. i was scared of falling so i took it slow.
by the end i could wheelie the 6 on command.
now i sold that and got a 1000.
whole nother story. back to square one but in 2nd now.
