if you have a valid wisconsin drivers liscence, or any state that doesnt require insurance, you are not required by law to carry it if you travel into a state that does. but even though wisconsin does not require insuance, if you get into an accident thats not your fault, your ****ed and pay for it all because you have no insurance.

 

you are right about the first point, other states are reguired to abide by laws from the state the vehicle is registered. but just because you have no insurance does not meen you have to pay for an accident even if it aint your fault. however, the other insurance company can just deny your claim even if it is not your fault, then it is up to you to take them to court, when you have your own insurance company they will fight the battle for you, or your insurance will pay for your claim and then go after the other company, a big insurance company is not scared of a person with no insurance, because you would have to go spend your own money finding a lawyer to pursue your claim.
fact is, it is best to carry at least liability and comp, if you drive any vehicle without liability, you are plain ignorant
and having liability with the lowest limits is stupid as well, i think in MD the least you can carry is like 20,000 personal injury, 30 property, and 20 for the other person involved. i advise peeps to get at least 100,000 personal injury, 50 property and 100,000 for the other driver. anytime your are thrown off a bike here in MD, they take no chances, any ejection from a car or bike, you get a helicopter ride to the hospital, unless you are up and walking and have no injury. that heli ride to the hospital cost like 10 grand, then to get checked out at the hospital, even if there aint nothing wrong with you will cost like another 5, now you are almost up to your limit, if you have any injury, like a broken bone, or knee injury, you are on your own to pay for it.

when an insurance company tries to sell you 100,000 grand worth of coverage, they aint just trying to get more money out of you, they know what they are talkin about

I have full coverage. It only cost me about $450 a year and that's with being on high risk with 1 accident claim. I was paying like $275 when my shiznit was clean. I use State Farm. They are by FAR the cheapest in Virginia.

I've never heard of them denying a claim but I don't doubt they would cancel you right after they pay for one. That's probably why they are the cheapest... they don't keep high risk people around. After I got cancelled after my first accident.... I swore I would never make another motorcycle claim unless my schit got stolen or someone totalled it. No more claims on broken plastics!

stolen and nobodys seen it since................and im on there asses............there supposed to give ma decision b4 the middle of the month, supposed to...........who knows if they will.
