Re: Who has Insurance???

in wisconsin they go by how many cc's your bike is and wether its a sport bike or a cruiser. so with a 900rr the insurance would be 3200 a year full coverage and 1500 for liability, no i dont have the *** rape insurance on a stunt bike.

Re: Who has Insurance???

I don't have any tickets or anything on my liscense, I keep getting in trouble in nicley spaced intervals, then i take a class. I've gotten lucky and never had a cop see anything too bad. So I have a pretty much spotless record, and i have my car on the policy too. So for my bike and car together it's just above 100 bucks. Bike is only like $22.43 or somethin.

yeah, actually in FL i do believe that u only have to have insurance on a bike if its value is over 10,000 and it is financed. the law doesnt say that, but the finance company makes you. have fun when u get here!!!!

Re: Who has Insurance???

i have a car and my two bikes on my plan. my agent told me if i get renters ins. that cost $16 a month then i get a multi plan discount that knocks off $30 a month or so.
so i save more by buying more.

Re: Who has Insurance???

yea i got statefarm also, it was 600 a year for full coverage at first, now it has doubled, and if you walk in today and ask for insurance on a 12 at age 24, you will get taken for like 4G's.
insurance companies have gotten wise to sportbikes, and how often they are crashed or stolen.
back in the day, when you would give them a model number off your bike, they would have no idea what it was. nodays, if the bike has a R in the name anywhere, they try to rape you

Re: Who has Insurance???

I'm 19 and in Wisconsin you don't need liability but I work and ride mainly in Illinois and you do there.. Liability with comprehensive is $950ish a year, Liability only NO comprehensive 630ish a year, and Full Coverage is 3,400ish a year.. Still thinking on whether to go with just liability or liability and comp.. Oh yeah its for the 900...

Re: Who has Insurance???

well, if you have comp, it is somewhat easy to treat it like collision, comprehensive covers acts of god, theft, hit and run. collision covers the bike if you crash and its your fault.
so anyway, say you low slide your ****, on a nice sunny day, its your fault. now call the insurance company and say a big *** dear ran out infront of you, you did not hit it hard, but hard eneough to make you crash, there are many other ways to make it work, not really right, or legal, but it works, and it don't make you feel bad when the ins. company wants 5 G's for full coverage
