12'o clocks keep breaking my subframe

i have an 01 gsxr 750. i have had the subframe straightened, braced and new tabs welded on (which cost $180 and lasted 1 12'clock) so now im back in the garage without a ride until i get this figured out. what is everyone else with the gsxr's doing? im thinking of making a new subframe out of square steel tubing? any ideas?

check out my bike, I welded 1/2 in aluminum plating from front to back of my subframe. Next thing I break is going to be the main frame!!!

whats up dan! but your subframe is very different than mine in the way that it attaches to the frame, it uses little alluminum tabs that keep breaking... i think im going to try to fabricate a whole new subframe out of tube steel...

thats cool, just brace the **** out of it.

My friend just fabrocated a bunch of new frame sliders! Will be sporting them in Florida! Taking some sets with me to sell down there. $100.00 for a set! They are bad ***! Mount up just like a normal frame slider only these are like 4 inches in diameter and stick way out like mine about 8 inches. Nothing hits. Then the last 3 or 4 inches is hard plastic like a frame slider that you can remove and replace when they wear out! Will have more on them and pics soon!

Later!

Everyone will want a set of these!

the way mine are set up now, there is a gap between the frame slider and my frame where the bolt goes. that gives like 1/2 inch of movement for the bolt to move or the slider to move around. The new ones seat down in the frame like a frame slider compared to the ones i have now that just butt up against it. Will have pics of them hopefully tonight!

Same problem here. Try boting a piece of steal to the subframe and just run a bolt to it. Not much pressure on the bottom tabs anyway, you don't want the subframe to fold up on you though. This has worked for all of us and we beat the **** out of them.
