i just switched from 99 rr to 01 929 this thing is making me crazy whats good gearing for it i went 1 down and 6 up is that enough i still want to be able to ride to the spot i thought that whould help my idel prob but nothing is gonna help this bitch

 

my boy cory from DSF rocks his 2001 929 with -1, +5 and still rides everywhere. hope that helps.

dudes I ride with have theres 2down 2 up and 2down 5up.. no problems riding on the street

 

Got -1 +6, works good.

 

i always heard (but apparently it doesnt matter) that gearing down wears ur engine out more/quicker

 

CBR 954, 2 down 12 up, I dont ride on the street. (but the damn thing will wheelie)
