Go to the local toy store and buy some $10 BMX bicycle pegs, drill the hole in the end out bigger, go to the hardware store, get a longer bolt for the mount and stick em on. IF you can find some sort of slider material, put that in the end and run a bolt through it crossways. That's all I got and it has worked great. I've dropped it hard learning 12's and never broke one. You just have to get grade 8 cadmium plated bolts. Every time I drop mine the bolt stretches and they come loose but I haven't broke one. Just have to retighten them or get a new bolt after a few times.

Sliders are great....but the cage offers 200% more protecton. Sliders are good to have just in case you drop your bike because you forgot to put down the kickstand I can barley tell its there.
