Bike: 2001 f4i
Issue: Ok so when i step on the foot shifter it drops into gear but when i take my foot off of the shifter it wont spring back up....Any one have a idea...I can still ride it but obviously it makes shifting difficult

 

Do you mean it won't shift into second gear?

 

No like when u step on it to go down into first and it goes into gear and u take ur foot off of it it will spring back up so i can get under it and put it into neutral or 2nd...Well it wont spring up anymore it just stays down

 

is the shifter getting stuck on the shift rod?

 

I can check but i dont think so

 

sounds like a bent shift rod or the spring is bad, what kind of bike is it
