Re: Questions to Stunters...

The only thing a battery should do is be the source of power to start a vehicle. The charging system is what drives your accessories

Re: Questions to Stunters...

My guess from building stuff in the past is it's usually alot less painfull and cheaper to go with the product that is all ready spec'ed out to your machine or it's intended purpose. Sure a little grinding here and there is fun. The university of ohio (hope im giving props to the right college) had a battery powered stream liner out at Bonneville this year but they also had engineering students crunching a lot of numbers to make the battery packs. I was just trying to use the r/c as a reference because they get flipped rolled and tossed every direction.

Re: Questions to Stunters...

ya i just remember when i used to race 10th scale cars they had different mah ratings , some were 900 , 1200 and 2000 the 900 mah made the car fast as hell for a very short time and the 2000 weren't as fast but they lasted longer .

Re: Questions to Stunters...

If you go to the site... you will have most your questions answered

www.antigravitybatteries.com or email me specific questions at

scott@antigravitybatteries.com

Group BUY is the only option until Sept 14th, the prices on the website are group buy priced... act like you are buying the battery and it shows the group buy price... I made a promise to our track day buddies on the forums I go to...I would offer a group buy for two weeks when we started the company since we are trying to get our name out there to the track day riders and the racers... That is why I came on this site...to see if the technology would apply to stunters... seems like it could and you guys are giving me good feedback. IF it turns out that you guys might want them I could make a battery with padding already incorporated into the pack, or an outside padding kit...

Check the price of Speed Cell or Carbon Speed batteries... they are basically the same... but they charge a lot more for a lower spec battery.

The battery is Lifepo4... a lithium based battery BUT NOT like the lithium-ion in computer batteries, cellphones ect which can over heat and explode...Discharge rate is not important for the battery application used in Motorcycles...But the discharge rate for these batteries is great... so the Hobby guys do use them in thier stuff for powering those Cars and Airplanes that expend all the batteries energy in 20 minutes...the sell single cells and you can price them..The individual Cells are expensive. The y must be authentic A123 cells or they are crap.

YES you can make one yourself, and it will actually cost you more to do it that we charge, and it will not be done as well... The main reason is you don't have a $3000 dollar battery tab welder, and soldering the batteries together is a NO-NO it can damage your battery if done wrong. So once you source the Cells, the Quick Change Harness, the 6 or 4 guage premium oxygen free battery cable, the shrink wrap and try to solder the batteries together your time and expense is over our price...Not blowing smoke... I built a couple for race bikes long before I started selling them.

Re: Questions to Stunters...

if they are the same as the rc batteries then zip tying them to the battery tray should be fine i would think , mine is rubber mounted plastic ..

We actually use zip ties or velcro on the track bikes... the battery is so light especially the 4 cell that there is no way it is coming loose even with just velcro... But since dropping the bikes during practice is a regular issue in stunting Velcro wouldn't work...

Re: Questions to Stunters...

It says you can ship 4cell batteries in the smallest Priority box, isn't that like $5? But at checkout it says $11.10 which is the Medium Box, correct?

Yes the 4-cell can ship in the small box...yes its roughly 5 bucks for it but it costs about a dollar extra for "shipping conformation" and I charge 1 dollar handling because I buy the shipping foam. l so postage usually ends up being about 7 dollars which included the tracking...I don't understand why its charging the Medium box rate... But I will look on the website and see what is up... What is you City and State so I can run a check on the site...

Also, did you only put ONE item in the shopping cart? Because it should know to use the "small" flat rate Priority box... If you put two items in the shopping cart, it thinks that you need a bigger box. I don't set the shipping rates... I just set the shopping cart up to use the Flat rate Priority Shipping then the shopping cart decides what size box to use...But I will look into what happened for you...Like I said it usually is about 7 bucks to anywhere in the USA...I ship a a lot to Australia and its only $15 dollars...

not for my stuntbike. but my freestyle superjet could DEFINATELY benefit from this.
Antigrav- you really need to post these on freestyle jet-ski forums. www.x-h2o.com

Goto http://antigravitybatteries.com

and read about them and see the one you want or tell me what bike you have and I'll tell you what you should use.. Don't buy off the website because the initial Group Buy price is over now... but since you showed interest right when were ending it I'll honor that no probs...We are similar to Speed Cell and Full spectrum battery... but we offer better specs... though we all use the same basic Lifepo4 cells... but the kicker is we are about 30%-40% less expensive for a higher spec product that is built cleaner.. has a one year warranty...

The group buy price was

$75 4-cell
$125 8-cell
$185 12-cell

Email me at Scott@antigravitybatteries.com tell me that it was you on the stunt site and I will invoice you with the group buy price...don't use the shopping cart on the site anymore because it is back to retail... This was only a Grand Opening deal...

Scott-

These A123 Cells from 2009 forward are matched and tested...... only the older 2006 models and those farmed from the 28v and 36v Dewalt packs are of concern, they have the vents on top of the cells...some companies still use those, we don't touch them. Those are still reliable solid cells but we don't want to use old cells....

Also some bring up balancing as a concern... Balancing is not necessary on the application of motorcycles. We use short high amp discharges just to start the bike, then the batteries go into charging again... In applications such as RC vehicles, they use a full discharge of the batteries capacity then fully recharge over and over at high amps just within a couple hours... And if those guys don't make sure of balancing and knowing exactly how long they can fly for they could loose the power to the plane in mid air and crash a very expensive Plane.. So they balance to make sure they can run the plane for an exact amount of time and not worry.

You could fill your bike up with 1/2 gallon less and save as much weight
