best gearing for gsxr

only thing is..... its the 1000 cant sell it, cant trade it 25k and rebuilt title 06 gsxr 1000 and not gonna sell it for 3500.... so just gonna stunt it.

is there anyone who stunts a gsxr 1000? I saw a video with a guy at a stunt show on a blue and white 1000 but thats it.

right now I run -1/+2 been riding that gearing for awhile and I can clutch up in 2nd at 15mph and keep it pretty slow, got tired of track and fast riding, so might as well stunt this thing

I was thinking of keeping the -1 front and going +6, but would like to hear from someone who knows what the power ban of a 1k would be like with that gearing before I do it.

maybe someone with a 954? hard to find anyone who stunts a 1k, because why would they? lol

do a stock front gear, it'll help keep it less "jumpy", and probablly don't need much more then maybe +5 on rear. that should help keep it smoother on idle **** and not so blipy from your touchy throttle

Re: best gearing for gsxr

well im already at -1/+2 which is like +5.5

1st gear is too touchy I rarely use it to wheelie, but thats also because I cant do them that slow yet, but 2nd I can clutch up around 15mph

what I am starting to think is that if I gear it more than what it is now, like up 4 more in the rear then I can use 2nd gear at maybe 5 or so

Re: best gearing for gsxr

I'm tellin ya. Stock front and +7 rear should be perfect. Turn the idle up to like 3500 while learning and it'll help kill that jumpiness of first gear. Hendo on here used to stunt an r1 and was killing it. He said it was touchy but made me a believer of stock from sprockets.
