Re: help cutting down an fmf pipe

Use a chop saw, or a bandsaw if you have one. Don't try using a sawzal or cut off wheel or anything, you'll most likely just make it crooked

Also if you have some extra cash, buy some new packing and repack the muffler while its apart, will make it sound better, and quiet it down just a little

Re: help cutting down an fmf pipe

use a sawzal and get titanium tip bi metal blades use them at work all the time to cut exhausts their sweet blades....drill out the rivets on the side that connects to the mid pipe and then chalk line the pipe basically measure 10x cut and then find someone with a belt sander to grind down the pipe it should help to keep it even then attach the end cap that you drilled out rivet and install

If you use a metal chop saw the cut will look factory with no need to use a belt sander, grinder or any other bullshit... just cut and drill new holes for the endcap, re-rivet and your done.
