I only make a small profit on these and if I was to do them any cheaper there would be nothing left over to justify the effort
SI's price is crazy, and i get your point on overhead costs

+1 I laid 14 layers of glass on the inside of my tail and have been standing on it for over a year and it was cracked where you stand when i got it. crack has stayed the same size and tail is still on my bike in the same shape as when i put the fg on

Ya it's Laser cut and I don't have the machine so I do send it out for that. I could leave that part out, but honestly a large part of the joy of making these parts is to get my name out there and for people to recognize it as a legitimate company with a great product. So I wouldn't want to take the logo out.

Well that seems to be the consensus from almost everyone here, so I will not move forward with making these for the 636. They are selling very well for the F4i and I know it makes a big difference for me when I'm riding SS, but I guess it's not needed for the 636.

Thx for the feedback guys.

Ok, so it seems like the tails are weaker on the 05-06 and there may be need for a stable platform Tail-Saver. Anyone else here feel the same way. If enough people feel that they would benefit from this part and there is a decent demand for it, I would go through the effort of designing it and putting it into production.

Thx for the feedback guys.

I've just broken mine yesterday.

Right where it bolts to the subframe under the front seat.

Re: On-Point Tail Saver for 636

I think they are a good idea for a F4i and the rhino lined Diamond plate is nice, my buddy has one on his f4 and it has plenty of grip...But i dont like the idea, it makes the bike look fugly and i ride weird where my feet are at angles on the tail and i jsut dont think the tail saver works good for how i ride

Re: On-Point Tail Saver for 636

i seen them on ebay. i just dont like that it ends on the sides for how i ride. i stand kind of like a duck when in SS position feet pointing out on the plastic. so id be half on it, half off it. And that might feel wierd.

the SI comes down the sides more where i would be standing.

not knocking your product...so please dont take the wrong way. i think its great people making more options for us to buy parts i just wish it covered more area cuz the price is right for sure
