back when i was a wee little lad, i was there and saw ryan do a long coaster, so i got on my 100 and brought it up and second and pulled in the clutch (never touched the rear brake) ever since then coaster have scared me alil, i could do little ones on the RM250 but never wanted to push it after yardselling on the cheese grader runway..... ahhhh bad memory!

 

I have got to start trying these again..... they look soooo fun once you get them.

only took me two days to get sitdown coasters

 

yea it took me only a few days to get past 50 footers.....once you figure them out they come pretty easily on the learning curve

 

i heart long 2nd 3rd gear sitdown coasters

 

You think that its bad that i can straight line combo, circle, drift, match my app. endo'n, scrape 12, but still cant coast?

(just to name a few)

 

So because of this thread i went out and tried some pretty much all day and got some good ones. with fis i got like 50-70 feet and today was the first day trying so im a little weird about ss coasters but imma try em...just still cant do ss circles im just not that smooth on my hand brake

 

i love doing highway coasters on the stock 954!!!

 

I got tips from Joey1 and it really helped me a lot. I'm not consistent with the distance but I rolled some 2nd gear coasters in the area of 3-400 feet SS Coasters still sketch me out coz Ive mousetrapped a bunch of times trying them. I think I need to come in a little faster but then I'll be moving a little faster lol - eh I'll get them soon. I've been doing FIB but I'ma start trying some staggered coasters. I didnt wanna do staggered coz the bolt that holds my peg was bent to **** but its fixed now so next time I'm out I'm gonna work on those.

What gear you coastin in on the stock 954 and how fast when you first clutch it up

Took me a couple hours to learn staggered coasters and another couple hours to learn sit down coasters! I taught myself tho

 

2nd gear, about 60..

 

**** it took me a good 6 months to learn circles but only a few days to learn coasters.
my first attempts were sitting down and they just came naturally. i like to bang the revlimiter too much though and i blew up my last motor, now with this new one them rev limiters aint looking too likely
