I be honest I have pancaked the **** out of my bike a few times but that's pretty much all that it will take lol... Broke a stator with the cage on lol.. bolts are bent.. Pucks are a bitch to take out when you break em ... I jumped a curb at 40 on my 636 with my S.I cage and that bitch didn't move

That was a fun ride btw

don't blame FI, your cage did it's job and i'm sure without it you would have done a lot more than some $200 bucks of damage the cage cost

same **** recently happened to me with my f4i...ended up cutting the bolt and drilling the bitch out. then retapped with a slightly larger thread...my original FI bolt was M10 1.25 but i got a M10 1.5 tap and 1.5 bolt and it's good to go again. also, if you retap it, it would be good if you could fit a nut on the other side of the bolt to hold it in there, if that makes sense, but some bikes don't have enough space.

it helps a lot if everything is properly tight but another tip i've heard is don't get all grade 8 hardware because in a sense you want the bolt to bend during a crash instead of not bending (and putting all pressure on mounts), otherwise you could crack/break a motor mount, which i've also done...****'s a bitch finding someone who can weld cast aluminum!
