I wish people could just see FI for the weak pos it is

Instead of always blaming it on the rider.

But like FI fans say, you can just buy the pieces that are broke, but in this case, it looks like the entire cage broke

good point. i should have added bend to that post.

it happened on my 900rr. it went down and the bolt was bent pretty good, and slightly stripped. it was inside the cage tube and jammed in there. luckily we were able to take off the rest of the cage bolts and bend it back the best we could and then got the bolt out. but it wasnt easy and took a while. luckily the stipping accourred on the bolt and not the motor mount.

we later found out that on the bolt on the other side the same bolt was a slightly loose. so taht one was prob a little loose as well. so if it was slightly loose it must have had just enough play in there to pull out and bend. that could possibly be the same prob in this case....

I went over a year on a stunt aid without harm, but I still don't go around recommending that garbage to anyone!

And do the people that say "you must tighten your bolts every drop" hell I ran my SI with a bolt MISSING, and it still protected my bike.

If I was to replace my engine bolts every single drop, I'd be replacing engine bolts 5 times a day in the parking lot

just for the sake of argument, lets see peoples biggest crashes with a FI cage where the cage wasn't destroyed, and your bike wasn't destroyed. When I get back from riding today, I'll post up my video of me wrecking with a SI with the rear all thread broke in half

ya ya no doubt

I just think hes lucky he didn't break his frame

what bike is that? It's hard to tell from that angle? Is it a gixxer? If so, that's how jstuntlocke broke his frame, pretty sure it was a FI cage and snapped his brand new gixxer frame right there

Re: Fu(kin pissed FU(K freestyle ing.

Yea so i talked to them and they are gonna send out another peice but that doesnt fix my motor mount....by the way its an 05 636. I love the bike and yes i am crashing alot i have only been stunting for like 6 lots sessions i can catch idle and drag and stuff but there is alot of dropped bike in the lot to go around if anyone need some.lol i think i need a beefier cage cause this is the third bolt i have replaced and they always bend maybe just something a little more solid. I want to try an impaktach but dude is hard to get ahold of. I made a myspace just to send him a message. I hate that kind of ****. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions let me know thanks

Re: Fu(kin pissed FU(K freestyle ing.

i don't recommend freestyle by any means simply because it is an old and poor design , but then again i'm just learning and my bike pancakes all the time and it has yet to brake anything. The only problem is i run db bars and it doesn't keep the bike off them, but i'm just going to make some spacers....when/if i ever really break something then i will get an SI

wow im not hating on you or anything man but i have yet to bend one of the motor mounts on my 06 in opinion there design is the best cause its a nut and a bolt instead of threading into the motor so my advice to you...this is gonna sound dumb but everyone knows what im talking about.....if you are going down that hard you got to quit bailing you need to learn how to wreck and still save the bike you might bust your shin or something but after i started breaking expensive **** i learned real quick how to crash with style and two dont give your bike a look over cause then you just find **** wait till the motor falls out hahaha im just playin on the last part

i did not bend or brake a motor mount the part you are talking about that the nut sits in a small piece broke off on the edge and i dont just bail and let the bike go flyin I high sided im trying new **** and no one in my area stunt so i am teaching myself no one to watch or no one for advice and i have learned how to fall or bail. but i highsided and there was nothing i could do so yea it didnt break **** but it did bend the bolt in side the cage and stripped it so now i get to figure out how to get that off.

now your just pissing me off cause iv learned everything on my own too...and guess what if i almost highside a bunch yesterday doing ss circles so you know what i did i either A)put a foot down B)turned out of it towards the highside C) pulled the clutch in and let it come down to two wheels and then drop the bike so whats the point of you posting on here if you have a counter for every piece of advice someone gives let me guess cause you know everything already so quit blaming it on FI and learn to ride......i tried to be nice in the first post but KANE is right quit bitchin

ya they work alright for small drops

but for learning, **** a FI

if you toss your bike at speed, theres a good chance that cage will let you down

I still occasionally toss mine at speed
