How safe is this???

I bought a set of those new 0 degree clipons with risers, and within 5 minutes of trying to install them I realized they won't clear the pinchbolts on the upper triple if you have them turned out. I don't want stock position, defeats the whole purpose! Sooooooooo.....I went to the hardware store the next day and rigged up some **** with washers and longer bolts, but I'm concerned this won't hold up very well. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.....

Can anyone think of a better way to get these to work?? Should I even ride like this? ( I have been) Surely someone else with a 954/929 triple, gsxr triple or any triple with the pinch bolts on top has run into this same issue.......

Get a block of aluminum (try ebay i got like 20lbs for $20) And cut it...Those washers arent a good idea because they wont spread the force enough, but if you get the aluminum between itll be ok but not as good as if they made them right

O and that grip on the left is what i run and theyre sick

Yea I pretty much figured that... dude at the store told me the same thing. They had a piece of metal but it was like ALOT and I don't have any tools to cut it. Looks like these clipons are going to be more of an investment than i thought

I like the grip too it was like 10 bucks....

could have went with stock clipons if i wanted that, there staying turned out, and i think drilling any more holes in them will weaken it too much....
