The 07-08 600rrs are like that in the higher RPMs, so keep your revs low.

If you are running stock exhaust cut out the baffles (internally) by drilling with a 1 inch hole saw through the end of the exhaust. Drill more holes for less pressure.

Disconnect the speedometer and wax sensor and see if that helps.

Also, if your bike has one - remove the flap in the air box.

It just started doing this 3 days ago. Before if was fine. The only thing i have changed was i redid my fork seals and put the forks back on and after that is when i noticed it. The throttle cables were above the tripple clamp and now they are below it. COuld that make a difference??

White Bandito - I know it's not a Honda thing, the 07-08 600rr's are just worse for it.. You just have to ride one to understand. This guy has a legitimate question.

CBR717 - I would put your throttle cable back to the stock position and see if that helps. It sounds like the cable is getting pinched/stuck as you roll off and then it finally gets free and the bike falls down as a result.

My bike ran fine and never had this problem untill 3 days ago. From last june till 3 days ago it was fine now its doing this. The cable is in the stock location. I flipped my clip-ons awhile back and thats when i put the cables on top but when i redid my forks i put the cables back to where they are suposed to be.

my 07 always had that problem, i could not ride a wheelie at all without a ton of rear brake. that bike is a mechanical nightmare, everything is way too complicated

Re: 08 RR has crazy back pressure all of a sudden..HELP

Before this happen it was fine and i could ride wheelies no problem and bring it back behind bp and slow it down with hardly any gas but now if i let off just a 1/8 turn it throws it down. Yesterday i was ridin one and i might just be hearing **** but it sounded like the back tire screeched with it did it cuz it was slowin down so much. Im gonna put the cables back on top tonight and see if that helps.

Just a shot in the dark here but you may take it to the dealership and have them look at the TPS (Throttle position sensor) Which is basically a potentiometer that sends the ECM a signal telling it what percentage the throttle is open. You may have a dead spot in it making the bike think that you have closed the throttle when in reality you have just barely backed off. Just a suggestion.......
