i replaced my stator coil and now my bike charges when warmed up at idle at 14.2 or so with a volt meter hooked up to the battery. when i rev it to 5000-6000 it drops down to about 13.2 and when it comes back down to 1500 idle it charges back at 14 again. the service manual says it should go up to about 15.2 when reved to 5000 but the service shop in town told me that its fine the way it is. dose anyone know or can someone put a volt meter on theirs and tell me what they have please. even if i rev it up to 13000 or so it still drops down to low 13... but at idle it will rise back to 14.2. this is crazy.

 

my battery has been checked out and is good and i charged it before i put new stator coil in. i tested the regulator/rectifier the way it says to in the manual and it checked out fine... could it be bad any way?

 

your charging system is working the way its supposed to
the bike only charges at low rpms
the regulator pretty much shuts off all voltage goin to the battery at high rpms
every bike is gonna have a lil deviance when chargin at different rpms
