X-Games 2010
Re: X-Games 2010
thank you for proving my point so quickly!you contradict yourself within 3 posts...dont you realize that xdl IS helping to make stunting more mainstream and that that IS the goal, mainstream!? haha
so stuntin was already a side show for other sports (what, racing?) and it got shut down? ahhhhhahahaha, it got shut down so hard that now there is a competitive series called xdl...sounds like i'd like stunting to continue to get shutdown and go more mainstream.
think before you type.

just because it was fast and dangerous on an effing highway does not mean the sport of stuntriding already passed....this is why some people will make it and others wont.

Re: X-Games 2010
You know who watches golf, golfers, you know who watches bowling, bowlers, who watches stunting stunters no one else. People don't just buy stunt videos, even normal sportbike riders barely care about our "sport." Take it like this have you watched any FMX comps on TV lately, no they're not on, why because people don't care it was cool for a minute and know it's not. FMX is exciting for people to watch and it still didn't quite get there, stunting is boring to watch if you don't know how hard it is. IT'S A HOBBY FOR ALL BUT A FEW, PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!
again. iguess i'll waste more of my time...no worries.if you just take exactly what you say and look at it differently, you would see my and many others' perspectives; but that is a different mindset and one that will make those who strive to see somethign succeed successful in their endeavors.
you know nothing aobut whether sportbike riders watch or care about stunting. if only stunters watch stunting, great, sounds good to me, bc more and more people everyday are clutching wheelies.
i could care less what happens with x games, but even if 'we' blow up for only a year or two on tv, the repercussion extend well beyond those few years as well as much deeper into the talent pool, resulting in more people able tomake aliving.
i don't think tommy clowers or whoever cares that fmx is or isnt on tv anymore...its on enough to allow quite a few people to make aliving doing it along with enabling many more avenues of income for many other riders.
ok ok, i'm done...you can't fight an unarmed man.
the very fact that you guys are on SL is contradicting your underground mentality, as is your support for XDL, etc. pessimism is funny to me because it cripples people.
if you want to keep it underground and yada yada yada then go ride wheelies on the streets with your bikenight...dont' go to the spot, don't come here, don't read about it in the mags or watch on tv...because if you do, you are contradicting yorusefl
Re: X-Games 2010
Since I joined stuntlife people were saying that it will never go to the Xgames, its come a long way.
Teach, What your saying is right, but even the FMX guys still break laws and that, no matter how big stuntin gets, the underground scene will always be there

Re: X-Games 2010
i dont think theres any contradictions. it depends on how u define mainstream i guess. mainstream to me is when all the 14 yo kids run to local skate shop to buy skateboards and giro bikes when they have no idea what theyre doing and have no intention on doing anything. they just wanna look cool like the guys on tv riding around on their bicycles n skateboards. or how for some reason EVERY rap fan thinks they can rap. NO, no u cant rap, plz stop. being on this forum and paying attention to xdl is socialising with ppl of the same interest and having fun at a hobby both parties enjoy. its somthn u and ure buddy can go do after work while the hole time lookin over your shoulder making sure nobody is calling the cops or to see if the cops rnt alreayd on their way.
Re: X-Games 2010
You know nothing about me or what I do, I don't do bike nights and I hit the spot whenever I can, I respect your talent, I could care less about about XDL, Stuntwars, or any other stupid contest. I like riding with friends and know this "sport" will only make money for a select few, if you think otherwise it's a good thing you got out of teaching, oh and as for making a living stunting you might and good for ya bro, but dfact of the matter is this sport will never be mainstream, mainstream to me are stunt parks and legal place to ride like skateboarding, call me when that happens.
Re: X-Games 2010
word - thats what i said and thats what i think. its not really about the xgames but more about getting more exposure to wheelies which will allow more people to make money doing what they love. Re: X-Games 2010
