yes, thank you for that....i wasnt aware that skateboards arent capable of those speeds. my point is not that skateboards are as dangerous, or can do as much damage, or even that they can hurt others... my point is simply, when the sport started...it was seen by the public much like stunt riding is now, and it has grown to be a recongized mainstream sport and now in about every city there are places set out and designated for people to do just that. You wouldnt see it as a major acomplishment to see what you like to do to have a set aside spot for you to ride?
i'm still in shock that the little town i live in hosts KOS every year, but it wasnt because the cat putting it on was sitting around telling everyone it will never be a sport or accepted. he has pushed it, and it is a pretty good size event in a town, that doesnt much even like sportbikes.

Word!! Its gonna be SICK!!! BTW..... I have an update.... I took Guru's advice and Im gonna set it up as a "Park" not just an empty lot.... I looked into getting a few Cement Barriers and they are only 175.00 for a 24 x 32 piece so im gonna get a few of those for stoppie stalls, A couple poles placed in various places that may be padded (Like a field goal post in a football field), a circular cement slab that represents a table for RL circles or whatever you wanna do with it, and a few other surprises!! If you have any suggestions, please post em up cause I still have time and room for change.... I am going to put together a diagram either tomorrow night or saturday... Then you guys can chime in on that.....

ppl get bumps and bruises and the occasional broken bone is skateboarding. nobody dies or kills others.'

skateboarding is so mainstream now that 8 year olds run around the parks with plastic boards cuz they want to be like tony or their big bro. 8 year olds cant ride bikes. and the only reason they agreed to make these parks is so they have a place to stick the "delinquants" (as they do call us) so that they dont bother by standards.

still comparing it to flatland bmx? haha, i think that issue's been addressed....not really thesame thing at all and there are distinctive differences.

i love hate and pessimism, i think its funny...especially when you just keep reaching

Sure, circles suck to watch for 10 minutes STRAIGHT

but I don't think I've ever seen a competition run where someone only ripped circles

Same thing can happen with sport bikes..... We started on the freeways, and look at where we are now! Only good things to come... I know this.... Im psychic!!

It's already legal.. It has never been illegal...

Not hating on travis at all, I guarantee he spends a couple weeks stunting he'd show most of us up

But I bet the extent of his 'stunt' abilities are limited to endless straight line wheelies, and long endo's

I think alot of people are going to eating there words soon because even getting a demo is a HUGE accomplishment and just proves that this sport is getting noticed....

+1

I'm still new to stunt riding, new to bikes in general...

But the first stunt video I seen, urban street bike warriors one.. And that was shot in what, 2000? 01? 02??
Just watching that video, and seen that it has blown up to today is amazing..
When I watched that video, seeing teach and other riders, I was amazed..
Now I'm doing the same **** in that video, and more, and people like teach, guru, and EVERYONE else are pushing this sport WAY further...

IMO stunt riding will only grow.. Once people see what CAN be done on a sport bike, its easier for them to learn..
There is NO ******* way I would be doing idle, no handers, or circles today if it wasn't for other riders doing that **** before me...
If I didn't know it was possible, why would I attempt it and think its possible?
But when I see someone kill circles and make it look easy as ****, then I think "hey I can do it"

Tell me none of you watch nitro circus and don't get the SLIGHTEST hint that "hey I could backflip"
I watch travis and think "damn that looks easy"... Yet I ride a 150f and the best air I get is about 4-5 foot LOL
