My relays went bad and I only replaced 2 of the 3 because im broke and figured one of the old ones still had to be good since the bike still ran. So riding around today the bike would randomly lose power. If the bike was still moving I would just rev it and it would be fine but sometimes at stops it would fall under idol which is set at 2grand and just cut off all together. Im pretty sure its eletrical because a couple of times I went to turn it on and the gauges would have a hard time turning on if at all. All i would do is wiggle the relays and it would start right up. I have tried all the 3 of the old relays in different combinations with the new ones and the problem isnt going away. Any suggestions?

 

go through ur wiring harness... u could have a bad wire somewhere, also check ur battery cables, if those are loose u'll get the same problems... def sounds electrical though... good luck

 

How exactly do you check the harness? Just look for disconnected wires? Thanks for the input.

 

basically check all the wires... look anywhere they would rub or get squished... like i said the battery terminals is where i would start

 

Yeah I just went out and tightend em. The neg was snug but the positive was a tiny bit loose. I tightend it up so maybe that tiny bit of play was what caused the random stops every once in a while.
