Re: I hate Kane
Well Ive managed to stay away from all the drama on here for a while now but since my name was brought up I figured I would chime in my two cents on this whole ordeal.
First of all there have been some really good points made on this thread. First one is that the present is the present and the past is the past period. Dont be that guy that trys to live off the past. The other good point was not knocking the guys who ride their asses off. It is called being driven and thats the difference between a lot of athletes today. The driven ones are the ones pushing the envelopes day in and day out pushing the limits of their sport. Its called progression and its needed in order for a sport to advance to that next level.
This is my take on this whole ordeal. The thing that gets me is that there are riders in this sport who have a good amount of funding from sponsors but do nothing with it. Now by doing nothing I mean as in proving themselves within the sport. I know when I take on a new sponsorship I work my *** off to bring those companies who believe in me the best results I possibly can. I just couldnt have it any other way. Its the way I am and its the way I work. Cause lets face it. A good amount of the companies who are sponsoring us are motorcycle parts or accesories manufactuers. Take tire companies for example. Now if a tire company takes on a new rider for sponsorship and that rider takes all these tires and then does nothing but shows with them how is that tire company supposed to prove its tires worth? Because so and so did a 180 in a show. Give me a break. These companies want results. They may not want them right now but give it some time and thats the way its gonna be. Take Kawasaki for example. They currently sponsor Street Freestyle riders and have done so for the last couple of years. Now Yamaha is on board along with Aprilia, and Ducati. With all these manufactuers coming on board its going to get interesting. Why? Because its like anything else. Every manufactuer wants to have their bike proven through competitions. They want to be able and say that their bike is the best cause it stomped all the others. Its the evolution of a sport and its coming!
Kane you said it yourself. You said you have the funding and have the talent and when it gets to the X-games your going to ride every day and stomp everyone. Well whats stopping you from doing it now? You have the funding right? You have the talent right? I can name like 20 riders that would go nuts on the bike with that funding. Nick and myself are two of them. Give us that funding and youll see the craziest sacrificial monkeys doing all sorts of crazy **** on the bike. You have all the tools that a lot of riders wish for and your doing nothing with it man. I hope you dont take this the wrong way. Im just saying that yeah youve opened up some doors for the sport corporately but you havent really done much to push the sport the way it needs to be pushed in a long while bro. I hope you go out and take this as constructive criticism and ride. Cause I will admit. You have beaten me in the past and I can man up and say that but the sport has changed. Riders now are literally amazing on the bike. Tricks that were considered hard 2 years ago are common. Its crazy. And just because you think you possess the talent doesnt mean that you can learn this **** in a weekend. It takes time. There are a ton of riders who have been riding for a less amount of time than you and are sick. Does that mean they possess more talent than you? Just a thought.
One love. Im out!

Re: I hate Kane
edub...
good example tire company..
pirelli. i am sponsored by pirelli tires, you wanna talk results of sponsorship i get their tires in front of more magazines, more TV, more live spectators (through shows and competitions) as well as more internet marketing by doing what i do than i would if I all i did was travel the country to compete at some half assed half judged competition series that sadly doesnt get the media coverage, nor the live spectator coverage that i get with the majority of my shows.
and i push the limits of my tires way beyond a 180 stoppie get real. i have tested the rosso on so many different surfaces over this country.. how many contest have we all been at where 90% of the riders whine about the area and yet ive had no problems be it a stoppie, burnout or wheelie.. but your right i can not do hc figure 8 wheelies... not cause i dont have the skill but cause i dont see the need, nor do i have the interest in learning them right now.
now i understand you and nick and a lot of others are out there riding hard and learning all kinds of new tricks.. as do i. i have in my bag many tricks i have never seen anyone else do.
where i get offended, where i get upset, and where i start to truly feel all these so called "friends" i have accumulated over the years within stunting really arnt is when they dog talent your right times change and they change fast bottom line... to sit there and say that i have no talent on a motorcycle is extremely insulting specially coming from people whom ive gone out of my way not only to help but to help guide and help promote... its disrespectful, expecially seeing as i have beaten many of you in contest.. oh but your right.. its 09 now and because i didnt participate in POST APRIL XDL 08 suddenly im a garbage rider...
i have my trophies, i have proven my skill in many more ways than just riding.. you think what i do is so easy.. walk a mile in my shoes than talk your trash.. its easy to win when you have NOTHING else to do but sit at home and practice on the weekend cause your only motivation is the 6 contests a year.
i work my *** off all year performing and attending over 50+ events per year practicing every chance i get to keep on top of my game while also going to events and introducing people who might have seen stunting before but never gave a hell, and have never thought of us as anything more than squids, but doing so in a professional demanding attention and demanding respect fashion so that i can do whatever it takes to get us to X games and at that time I will place podium cause there isnt anything on earth i want more than an x games gold..
XDL's sweet 4k, sprocket trophy, and 1k spectators isnt worth the headache of having to deal with the constant disrespect from jealous scrubs that are more than happy to kiss my *** and pick my brain at events.. then come on here and dog me out..
see ya in havasu...
before putting me on blast how about you ask yourselves what YOU HAVE DONE FOR STUNTING LATELY?

where i get offended, where i get upset, and where i start to truly feel all these so called "friends" i have accumulated over the years within stunting really arnt is when they dog talent your right times change and they change fast bottom line... to sit there and say that i have no talent on a motorcycle is extremely insulting specially coming from people whom ive gone out of my way not only to help but to help guide and help promote... its disrespectful, expecially seeing as i have beaten many of you in contest.. oh but your right.. its 09 now and because i didnt participate in POST APRIL XDL 08 suddenly im a garbage rider...
i have my trophies, i have proven my skill in many more ways than just riding.. you think what i do is so easy.. walk a mile in my shoes than talk your trash.. its easy to win when you have NOTHING else to do but sit at home and practice on the weekend cause your only motivation is the 6 contests a year.
i work my *** off all year performing and attending over 50+ events per year practicing every chance i get to keep on top of my game while also going to events and introducing people who might have seen stunting before but never gave a hell, and have never thought of us as anything more than squids, but doing so in a professional demanding attention and demanding respect fashion so that i can do whatever it takes to get us to X games and at that time I will place podium cause there isnt anything on earth i want more than an x games gold..
