I have a question that i hope someone kan help me out with i wanted to know is the 2004 honda cbr 600rr frame the same as the 2005 is it possible to run the 04 frame with the 05 parts?

 

i'd ask your local Honda or motorcycle dealer on that one. That's what I had to do when intersted in engine swapping.

 

i agree ^^ but i think some of the parts will swap i had a 03 cbr and used some 04 parts

 

yes you can but it has to be groups of parts . cant mix up front end parts , rear swing arm parts . the exhaust cant be mix matched, my 03 has all 05 parts on it

yea i jus wanna use the 04-04 frame my 05 600rr has a bent frame and now i was thinkin bout swappin frames my friend has a 04 frame i just wanna make sure it will work before i buy it from him

 

+1 my 03 has tons of 05 **** on it the motor will fit but your either going to have to put a few washers between the motor mounts and frame or grind a tiny bit off if its to tight, i cant remember

 

frames are the same...front end clearly diff, subframe diff too, but other than that, it is interchangeable i'm 99% sure

 

+1 to that I have an 04 rr with 06 front end 06 exhaust 03 subframe

 

If youre just swapping the frame out then you shouldnt have any issues. I've swapped parts from all 4 years a bunch of times.

 

Technically the frames are different. Remember that exhaust mount on the bottom of the frame

Other than that they are exactly the same.

Not sure what that other guy up there said about washers and what not. I've NEVER had a problem putting either motor in either frame.

Get or make some tools for the "jammer" nuts so you don't jack them up. I hate dealing with those if the previous owner of a bike has horribly fucked them up.
