All you need is a descent cage/extra levers/ I wouldnt worry about the bar until you plan on scrapping it. not sure but I thought the 04 gsxr has the electronic pickup but I would just add an extra quart and try to stay off the limiter on the wheelies. Just get out there and practice and have fun.

If you're looking for a good mix of power and street performance I really like the 05/06 Honda 600rr and the Kawi 636 with medium gearing. You wont have a huge top end but you'll have all the bottom you need.

Not too many of us ride 1000cc bikes. Its because the power of a 1000cc comes on a little fast/hard for the tricks you're not doing yet . You can ride and learn on anything. But if you want to have a lot more fun and learn quicker I would suggest any 600 class Honda Kawasaki from 03-06. Plus, there are a lot of ready made parts and spares floating around. Have fun, it would be cool to see a stunt scene in Israel!

That is a professional answer in did.
I don’t have the hart to crash relatively new bike (15000 usd for the models u mentioned, and yes – used bikes are still expensive here) in the lots, or the time to do it these days. I love riding very much and my last road bike was Honda hornet 600 (f4i before that), now with the gixser I want to enjoy more power to weight ratio, 150 mph for top speed (20 percent down). I want it without any plastic around and protected as I can.
The stunts I don’t do yet will come according to the time I'll have for practice.

Re: new bike - new goal

basic rundown.
for a 1000 get a slightly larger sprocket, b/c u can clutch up a 1000 easily
racing 905 cage is better, but a sick innovations cage will give u the ground clearance. but u can look into a racing 905 race rail for more clearance.
get a full throttle hand brake system, or if money isn't an issue u might want to look n2 a ho hey designs ( yse it is ''ho hey'') dual caliper handbrake system.
handbrake system and cage or race rail is all u need to start.

I think you made a good choice with the 1k. sounds like your not gonna use it for stunt only, and I've always found 1ks are way more fun to ride on the streets.

U better get an oil pickup in that beast... 4 passes on the wheelie machine later and we are still lookin for a new motor for our gsxr1000

Re: new bike - new goal

my friend as a 04 gsxr1ooo we both got in to stuntin 2y ago he quit on me 8 months in to it. the bike fell apart.the frame, sudframe, forks, radiator.
the bike has a lot of power go 3down in the front sprocket and that good for highway and slow stuff and i would not bother with a whellie bar every time i see a gsxr just tap it it brakes and the back caliber gets fukin hott fast so watch 4 brake fade and add a longer ideal screw it helps crank that **** up lol i wish i had a pic of that bike now it still sitting in his shop 2ys with **** all over it its a sad site go luck man

droppin three up front is gonna do the same as if he goes up 9 in the back. i really dont think there is any reason to gear it that much. you even said how much power it has. with that much power, it should come up pretty easy with stock gearing.

The gixer is in did strong enough to go up in third gear, 90-100 mph.
But, because of the long gearing, clutching up bring a lot of extra speed.
My idea is shortening the gear like that instead of 180 mph top speed, I'll get 140-145 mph.
That's fast enough for a non-faring bike in daily use.
If I recon correctly, originally gearing is 17-42, so I can go 16-47 or to find 50 rear sprocket.
905 racing crash cage sound perfect for my line of use, protecting and good ground clearance.
The main problem is upper triple clamp for off-road handlebar, with room for ignition switch. Rental twin-wall we even have in Israel...

Is it possible to modify the original one?
Or should I buy something special?
Which solution will be better protection for my engine?

Re: new bike - new goal

im just saying my boy did good fast or slow wheelies with 3 down and with stock gears its hard as **** to go slow if you dont slip the clutch the bike will stall but i guess we ride as cheap as possible lol 26$ for a front sprocket or 70$ for a back sprocket and a 100$ for a bigger chane =170$

What are the advantages for using the bigger rear sprocket and chain, without using smaller front sprocket?

I have 16-47 under my hand; original is 17-42 which means that’s the ratio I was looking for.
Question is, if that’s good enough?
