It doesn't matter, it's like a chess match... if they ask a question like that then either say you have no comment or sit there and think about your answer, YOU NEED TO PLAN YOUR NEXT MOVE BEFORE MOVING. It's not LIVE TV, if there is a 5 minute pause between their question and your answer it's ok... I'm pretty sure they are going to edit out a 5 minute gap where you say nothing b/c you are thinking of your answer.

Best solution overall.... DON'T DO ANY GOD DAMNED INTERVIEWS.

Your comments are obviously a direct reflection of why that interview went south. Good work.

Re: Inside Edition TONIGHT!

this is going to happen time and time again. do you guys honestly think that when you give them illegal street footage or lot footage you know they are going to air the street footage. do you think that when you talk about the lots and show and then say a single word about the streets they are going to talk about the good?? hell no.

if you are a show/comp/demo rider and you go out and kill the streets right after and make videos of it and sell them then you throw all your credibility out the door cause when it all boils down it really is illegal right?????? this started happening with all the street racers back in the day. same type of thing.

for those of you that say any media coverage is good coverage needs to pull their head out of their *** and find a damn calender, look at it and realize that it's not 2001 anymore and then watch any NEW stunt video and realize that there are SOOOOO MANY tricks and combinations of tricks and GOOD riders that are putting in all the time and work to progress this sport in a real deal legit way?

I bet all you street killers are going to want to jump on the gravy train when things get bigger and there is some GREAT money to be had, but too bad all these big corporate companies are not going to want these known "outlaws of stunting" to be a liability for their company when "STREET STUNTER NAME HERE" could get in an accident on the street, gets brake fade, or master link comes off chain, or clutch basket explodes and they ACCIDENTALLY crash and kill some people and cost their sponsor MILLIONS for killing some family . that's why it's called an accident, you can't prepare for an accident!!!

then you say ":LOTS ARE BORING and LAME AND BLAH BLAH BLAH"
I SAY if the lots are boring and lame then step your game up and progress and you will find that lots are fun, and then shows are even better. Imagine that, shows that are legal and people are there specifically to see you ride. not just a couple random people that think you are cool while the whole rest of the street or freeway is on their cell phone calling the cops and trying to get your plate number ready to send you to jail for group showers

then you say lots are hard to find. I agree!! put in work son

I say find a place get cleaned up and talk to them like a normal person and show respect for them and their lot and property!! it's not that hard. been riding the same lot for 2 years with the cops and owner completely OK. you might not get the first one you go to but you'll find one eventually.

a few of us out this way have been on the news in a positive way promoting the good side with them reporting that we are safe professional street bike athletes that ride in closed course competitions and shows and LEGAL practice.

you can't complain about the outcome of these reports when you give them all the ammo they need to make ALL OF US look bad.

sorry for the novel but I got on a rampage!!

They are LEGALLY allowed to use ANY footage from ANY source they want, because it is considered NEWS WORTHY.

The "weaving in and out of traffic" were not our clips, I also saw Crazy Dan, Todd, and other people in those clips. The clips they used of Adrenaline Crew was taken from the DVD series, we did NOT get paid for this footage, they snagged it. That's how it works.

The only ******* footage they used from US that day was IN A LOT...

They even said that we were LEGALLY STUNTING, if we did not do that interview IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ALL STREET FOOTAGE FROM THE WEB!

So I understand your rant, but they were going to play that footage REGARDLESS, at least we had a voice in there ATTEMPTING to subdue the angry soccer moms...

You have all of these GOOD reviews from all of these places (mind you, almost every single one of those is outlets that are adrenaline junkies, motorcycle enthusiasts or people who enjoy watching it) and somehow you STILL MANAGE to **** up an interview like that.

As Mike said, you gave them ALL of the ammo they needed to confirm their allegations. GOOD WORK GUYS, KEEP IT UP!!!

I dont know about the rest of you, but the best videos are those of street footage. I can watch some sick lot footage sure but the best vids are those that are on the streets. Just my opinion tho.

Also, does the stuntriding community really frown on stunting the streets?? Dont answer here, Ill make a seperate thread to see.

Dude, that's a pretty obvious answer. I don't think anyone here REALLY frowns upon bustin up the streets b/c this sport has made a huge transition from 2001. We don't typically stunt on the streets anymore, and it has moved to the lots for the most part. But the fact is, major sponsors are starting to come into the game but it's pretty hard to endorse riders when there is still a large portion of riders rippin' apart the streets and making a bad name for all of us. It's a PR nightmare for sponsors to try and justify this type of lifestyle.

I'm willing to bet my bike that if Kane gets caught shredding the streets his sponsorship with Kawi would more than likely get yanked.

And in regards to Adrenaline Crew, I love their ****... their videos are extremely entertaining and I love the street footage, but the fact is when we are under the spotlight we need to point out the good of the sport and really make sure the publicity stunters get is not just "any publicity".

Re: Inside Edition TONIGHT!

If you think **** like this hurts stunt riding as a sport or its evaluation all it does is make the people who already think this way shake their head & say "those bad boys" ... while 200 other would be bad boys said "hummm that looks cool let me find out more about it" ( thats when they proceed to get the real story) ... This makes it bigger witch in turn makes all areas of the lifestyle/sport more popular ...

Ill tell you what if this gets any bigger in Baltimore you will see a legit city owned stunt park Before you see the Baltimore jails filling up with wheelie riders ...
Its been brought up as a real solution to are dirt bike problem for a while now & with a little push I think we could see it ....

Streets !!! are the ****!! & always will be !! lots & comps are great fun too !! thats why we do it all !!

I hear ya bro, and I agree with what your saying but there are others out there doing it and getting sponsored. For example

Phipps mall in Atlanta, Bloomingdales none the less has a large Echo section. In this section they have huge flat screens playing footage of all different extreme sports, skateboarding, snowboarding, all kinds of **** and yes stuntriding. But guess what, its not lot stunting. Some dude killing it on the streets of Cali. I would say Echo is a pretty large, Corporate sponsorship...

Corporate sponsors are becoming a major influence in this sport, all I'm saying is when offered a situation to spin this sport positively you better damn well take it and not **** it up.

It's moving from the streets to the lots, time to make the "general public" aware that parking lots is where we do our stunts and the streets is not what this sport it about anymore. Besides, if anyone really wants to bitch everyone speeds. Whether they are 2 mph over the speed limit or 20 mph... speeding is illegal and it endagers innocent motorists as well. Pointing out the fact that we practice night and day to get better is important and that we take this seriously and those that stunt on the streets are all on their own.

You are talking about a micro level though... this sport isn't small anymore. It's moving outside of the doors of small motorcycle shops and clothing outlets that already play "illegal" material. (Skateboarding on private property = illegal. Snowboarding/Snow Mobiling out of bounds for a perfect kicker = DANGEROUS... especially during Avalanche season) Stunting is spreading like wildfire and if people really are going to stunt the streets just know it's a negative spin on the sport as a whole.

And people are losing site of this WHOLE Inside Edition interview... they reported on the fact that stunters are selling DVD's and making money off of stunts that are performed on the streets endagering innocent motorists. If all they had was lot footage on their DVD's then Inside Edition doesn't have **** to report on. The fact is, they are right... Adrenaline Crew is making money off of illegal footage and as much as WE love it, others don't.

its funny that just because they didnt show it that you think kenny didnt hit um with that knowledge .....

check this out http://www.citypaper.com/news/story.asp?id=11002

here is a good unbiased source that interviewed me a while back with the intention of finding ammo on the stunt scene & its dangers ! but I tried to keep it strait & to my amazement they tried to get the right idea out ....even though the story had bad context

I'm sure Kenny told them all of the Pros vs. Cons and what stuntriders are trying to accomplish. The fact is though, they gave Inside Edition enough ammo to spin this story in a negative light and that's that. Not much anyone can do now.

Adrenaline Crew part 2 was sponsored by:
Shoei Helmets
ALPINESTARS
HJC Helmets
REDBACK BOOTS
GO FAST
SCOOTS STEERING DAMPENERS
FULL THROTTLE

Obviously you won't find a contract in writing, but money and gear from each of these company's was selfishly given to Adrenaline Crew and their riders knowing FULL WELL what we are about....

Aside from Dealership's helping, only thing missing is Factory Sponsorships, which we did not want...why? Cause we were not willing to sacrifice DVD sales over live shows. People in AC can get what ever side sponsors they want, but at the end of the day, we sell DVD's cause kids like the mayhem!!
