Alright here is the story: I recently bought a townhome and will be moving into it in a couple weeks from now. About 150ft across the street of my house is a lutheran church with a sweet parking lot. It's not huge, but I'd be using the TTR so there would be plenty space. The lot is newer so the asphalt is beautiful and smooth. The lot is well lit so I could basically ride there day and night.

It's winter now, but I'm planning to go there next year once it gets warmer and ask for permission to ride there. Now, I realize that I'll only have one shot to try to convince them.

My plan is to explain to them that I'll be the only one riding there. I'm not going to do any burnouts or donuts so they won't have to worry about any marks or damage to their property. I'd be using my TTR, which is about as loud as a lawnmower (once I pack the exhaust). I'd only be doing 1st and 2nd gear stuff so they wouldn't have to worry about me racing etc. Of course I'd sign a waiver saying i'm responsible for any damage I cause, etc, etc.

To be honest, I doubt they will go for it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

I'm hoping to hear from you guys who successfully have gotten persmission to use a church parking lot. Any pointers would be very appreciated.

is your TTR running a stock exhaust? if it is, it should be alot quieter than a lawn mower, unless we just have really loud lawn mowers over here

 

we rock at a church, as long as you are stealthy about it, you should be good. when we go to our spots, schools/churches, we dont ride if anyone is there and as soon as we see a car pull in we shut it down. **** the spectators.... you dont know which ones are gonna call the cops just to be ******. The way I see it... a church is the safest place to ride..... a father/paster/child molester...etc.. would have to be a real ******* to have you arrested for riding there.

 

just dont ride there on sunday or other days they have church.
If they ever catch you, and come out to talk to you, tell them you are a church stunt group, and your all about god, and worship jesus and ****.
and perform for churches around the state to spread the word of god.

 

Just have all the waivers and your contact information printed out and give it to them when you're explaining what will be happening. Be sure to mention that you won't be there if there is anyone else on the property, including maintanence or visitors.
Show proof of insurance, registration, and make them think that you've done this before and it's never been an issue, but you've just moved and this is obviously alot closer.

Asume the sale.

 

Ride there until someone says something. then explain that you live across the street and are just relieving some stress or some ****. be nice to them and i bet they'll be cool with it long as you aren't ******* up the new pavement or being way loud

I can't just go and ride there without permission. I live in a small town with lots of cops....and all local cops are absolute dicks. If they saw me riding there they would impound my bike and give me a tickets....however if I have a permission slip signed it's a different story...

lol. I actually did a loan for the pastor of that church (i'm a loans officer at the local credit union) so I hope that'll help.

 

tell him you're stunting for the G-O-D, and you'd hate to see his loan default...

But seriously I would just tell him about stuntin, how its a good outlet for energy and the vibes are all good (minus the ones towards cops lol) and how having a legal lot will keep u and your friends out of trouble and off drugs/booze bla bla bla

if not then +1 tell them their loans about to default

If I pick up a fiddy/scooter Im about to do the same...theres a church literally 100ft up the road from me...I figure if its something silly like a scooter they will probally be cool with it...they seem to be all about keeping youth into positive hobbys

 

show up to church on sunday sit through it wait till every one leaves then ask the pastor tell him about all the waivers and **** then tell him you wanna get better and maybe they could do a lil stunt show some time and they could sell food and make a lil coin off you to better there church cause after all there all about making some coin ( well donations lol)if that dont work tell him you,ll give the a $20 everyweek to use it if all else fails let him touch your bum lmao

I've got permission at 1 church out here. Told him a little about myself, about stunting and how the streets and public roads are inappropiate due to the SLOW speeds of manuevers I'm trying to learn/practice, even showed him alittle clip on my ipod, made it a point to be respectful and not to disturb the church or any of it's activities. He was like no problem and I had a waiver with me and signed that day.

I got permission at a local church, its my best spot.. The pastor comes out and watches me ride and I always stop to talk to him.
