gone back and fourth with the people from nassau colliseum about setting up a riding spot there for all around use on the weekends. I am waiting for them to hit me back up about pricing and then if their insurance will be ok with us using waivers to ride there. If they dont get back to me by sunday (I will still continue to call them tomorrow and bagger them) then I am going there to speak to the guys who do autocross there and see how much they have to pay to rent the land out. would anyone be willing to throw money down to make this happen with me so we can have a legit spot or would I be wasting my time?

its not gonna be cheap and the riding area sucks from what ive seen rollin past on the streets. Depending on price Id throw down - I pay money in gas and tolls going to NJ so if it were comparable to that I'd be willing to listen - if the riding area is legit which I dont think it is. From what I remember theres cracks all over with grass growing outta the cracks and its just a shitty riding surface

 

i dont see it happening coz the cost is gonna be too much IMO. But see what you come up with trixhio puttin in work.

 

the area isnt the best but even with the cracks the ground looked legit when I went by there, I will go look again but I think for how much I am thinking they are gonna want to rent an area of moderate size like the little lot by mitchell I think it might be worth it I cant give an exact price but I have been trying to get this done since I got my tickets sooo hopefully this will be cheap

someone over the phone (just an advisor so I cant really take that into consideration) gave me a guesstimate of around 900 a month and thats for a moderatly sized area over by where they race on the edge of the parking lot. She said since its not in use it should be cheaper and we could split it between 10 people thats 90 each and that guarantees us an area to ride with no hassel from the cops. I will wait back to see what the head manager tells me and whatnot and if it can be even cheaper then that would be better.

 

this is the thread for the 2nd idle cable that you add. set your stock idle to 1300 and then you adjust with the 2nd cable. when you have the 2nd cable in put a little oil where the cable rests on the motor to make sure it will spin freely and not get kinked up. MikeM told me to put a piece of scotch tape around the spring before putting the cable on. I forgot what the reason was behind this but I put it and its still there and does no harm so may as well put it I'll get you pics of where the stock cable goes in a second.

Ehhhh it would really depend on the surface. I forgot how much the tolls were to get to NJ but lets see - I think its 4.50 each way for the Throgs Neck and the same for the GW so thats $18 and then gas. If I round down and say $15 for tolls and then $5 in gas so I'm spending $20 round trip to get to NJ. I've only been going once a week so that'd be $80. If it were comparable to that with a good ridin surface I'd probably entertain it as long as we have access to it whenever we want. If it were a weekend only thing or certain hours then **** that. Thats where another problem lies. I dont think they'll give you total access to the area so we wont be able to go whenever we want. But whatever - keep doing your thing and let us know what you come up with. If you get it for that price I'm sure we could find more people to chip in to make the costs cheaper but everyone else will say the same **** - riding surface and access to the spot
