Yes, the weight/pipes help to stabilize the camera.

Granted, it isn't as good as commercial systems, but seemingly provides results that would warrant $14.

It's like 5 minutes from my pad Mike, way far for you.

Spot is a good size, but dusty and has a slope in the middle for drainage (it isn't horrible though, Mitchell has worse).

But it has a sweet view of the NYC skyline
