well all we have to do is run an oil line from the back to the front of the motor from an oil passage right? or am I incorrect in saying that?

Every bikes oil pick up system is slightly different the GSXRS usually have a plastic peice that bolts to the bottom of the oil pump and curves toward the bottom front of the pan.. (lowest point) the stunt Ex pick up instead of pointin foward it points to the back of the pan and is very short (fine for wheelies but as soon as u hit a stoppie the oil light comes on.. i think they went a bit too drastic with it)

my welder could proly run a flat seamless bead of aluminum but im not sure if i could.. we tried that with you master remember mike.. if i remember correctly it leaked lol (i have a spool gun aluminum welder NOT a tig) could possibly make it out of steel... then id powder coat it tho as to not suck up rust peices if left alone for a while.

 

no, the gixxer oil pickup points down, into the bottom of the oil pan. the stuntex pickup points to the back of the pan, where the oil hopefully is

 

steel is a good idea. and its gonna be covered in oil all the time, so it wont rust anyway. well maybe not covered, but it'll be oily fo sho

 

ok so the oil pickup runs from the oil pump to the front of the motor as to not starve the bike of oil am I correct in saying this/ do you have any pic of it on a bike cause I can easily make something to work the same way as that without buying one

 

except when its left over the winter.. id coat it.. rust pieces do serious damage to crank/rod bearings

my buddy ryan is crazy into the jetski's he told me to throw a cup of oil into my carbs n run the ski for a sec to totally coat the crank n everything else. cause if one spec of rust gets on it he saiz they pop.. yea im taking bout a 2 stroke but still id think same idea..

 

ooooo so the oil pickup is inside the pan!!!! ok now I get it, so I dont have to tap into an oil passage in the motor lol thanks. The pickup is inside the pan I am guessing?

 

lol think for a second about it.. bike is @ 12.. whea does the oil go? Back of the oil pan... so you would need a tube going from the oil pump to the back most part of the pan.. n like i said it will work in reverse if your doing a stoppie.. its starved of oil..

yes its inside the pan/cases as is everything else

i had taken a bunch of real good shots showing stock pick up and stunt Ex pick up but my main machine is down for now.. motherboard fried... im w8ing to hear back from asus about that one.. : (

well the stunt Ex is a nice machined aluminum block with a rubber seal and another aluminum tube that slides in b4 you bolt it up.. its not gona be a 123 build but deff could be done maby minus a nice rubber o ring lol

main thing i dont like is i think its a bit too short.. cause even under hard braking the oil light comes on...and obveously while doing stoppies the oil light comes on.. but then wont go off untill i pull it back to 12 again.. annoying!!
