Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Toneth, the problem is the little L shaped mount on the front is bent forward, causing the actual tank to cover the top of the bolts. This probably happened when the tank got the dent on the bank.
Like I said, take off the rear mounts and push the tank backwards to bend that L bracket back and expose the bolts.

He needs a set of cables and needs to bend that front mount...
I would NOT remove the rear bolts of the tank and straighten that way because then he might have a problem trying to align the rear mount back up..
If you notice the bracket stock has a nice little bend to it. I would put pressure on the TOP-FRONT of the tank and push it till i got it where its decent..

Hahaha.
**** me. I can't get it to move for ****, and I'm a pretty big dude. Also it has no brakes so I'm just keeping it in gear and yanking... could that **** the tranny up? Oh, and one of the rear seat bolts was stripped.

This is gonna sound like a ridiculous question, but can anyone with cage that's either A-town or something similar the size see wide it is from the edge of the left slider to the edge of the right slider? I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get the bike through my gate with a cage. I only have a little more than 2 feet of clearance. I had to like push it through my gate down the ramp using the back and have my boy grab the front to get it downstairs. I don't have room to walk next to it. I'm gonna have to basically ride it up and down a flimsy *** ramp to get it in and out.. that's if it fits.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
And it begins Tone.... lol....... And your bike is pretty much assembled... just imagine the stress I was going through.....
Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
If it doesn't fit I can use our other gate it's wide enough.. only thing is that there's another set of stairs leading to my apartment about 4 feet after you go down the initial steps right after the gate since I love the in the basement apartment... but you can go around these steps. For this purpose, lets pretend those steps are a wall.... I basically am going to need to have the ramp at an angle. I can't put it directly straight lined up with the top steps. There's about 3 steps I need to get down with the ramp.. basically rather than ramp being like this | it's going to be like this \ which will bypass the wall. Any idea how I can do this? Is it safe to put the rubber parts of the ramp at an angle? I was thinking of putting a cinderblock on the top step and turning it slightly and lining the ramp up with it so it's straight against the cinder block, then just turning the bars at the top.

Thanks Peerock.
Regarding my post before about using the other gate if I can't get it through the smaller one that I can go straight down on...
This is the other gate. Any ideas on how I can get down this? The ramp would have to be angled onto the grass going through where all the garbage is. That patch of concrete is much shorter than it looks.

Re: Calling aLL NY stunters and stunteresses
Its hard to tell how steep those bottom steps are.I'm guessing you cant just leave it parked on that middle landing. Block your own steps by placing it on an angle with the front tire chained to the banister. I think you may have more of a problem backing the bike down each time by yourself though if you do the ramp thing. I also have GSXR Parts too.. Going for CHEAP
