Anyone that rides a zx6 knows that if you run high idle the rear foot brakes on zx 6s blow and the bike can pull through the foot brake easily. I just wondered if anyone has tried to put 2 adapter brackets on a hohey so you run 2 four piston calipers instead of a the stock kawi 2 piston crap. It looks like it might work?????

 

i have no problems with my footbrake

 

This is the 2nd 636 i have had and the brakes on both have sucked compared to a f4i. Never pulled through the foot brake on my f4i.

 

same rear single piston like the 05/06's? my **** bites hard, can't imagine it pushing thru unless i had idle at like 6k

 

+1....had 2 636's..no problems with mine

 

sounds like youre overheating the pads. four piston caliper wont help that. try a wave rotor and some organic pads. frequently stop and let them cool when they start to fade

 

But to answer your question, yes the four piston bracket will bolt right up to the stock Kawi bracket
