do a "hard reset" take the negative cable off ur battery and leave it off for say 20 minutes...that will discharge the capicitor in the computer/ecu.....reconnect and if it comes on right away then it's a "hard code" if it comes on say....after 20 min's of driving then it's a soft code only in closed loop fueling.(coolant temp' @ or above 70 degress Centigrade) i know i'm a beaver eater so Deg' F isn't what we use uphere sorry.hahahaha

try that ol dog let us know!

not tryin to sound like a dick but i wanted to know what is the diff between a red seal tech and a regular tech at range rover? my brother is a tech at range rover and he has never heard of a red seal tech.

red seal is the best you get here in canada. In the states you guys got ASE testing that's how you fellahs have something on paper to say you know what you are doing when touching expensive ****. or when you break something they ask"hey where's you're ASE for ABS brakes?" you are in **** now when something fails and the driver is dead. we do ASE's up here in Canada i get paid to do them, they don't really matter, it just gets me recognized in USA....I lived in Maryland for 2 months to do specific Rover training, nobody heard of REd seal....

you guys probablly heard of an apprentice? well up here you don't get to travel outside of your province(or state to you guys) if you are an apprentice, they don't recognize the skillz ya gots while in your home town. I got lisenced on autos asap! now i go where i want. the individual provinces(states) got the employees by the ***** not being able to go work where you want. does that help? and no, ur not a dick...maybe a *** but not a dick hahahaask ur bro how he likes the new range rover sport super charged! hahahclose to 500hp...450ft/pds torque

BILLY DA SQUID....told you so...that means he code is a soft code..it is only happening everyonce in a while, could be a fuel cap or a EVAP system leak. the evap sys' is just meant to purge fuel vapours from the tank to the engine intake manifold. the vapours or HC (hydro carbons) not the **** you smoke) is harmful to the environment so burning them is the best way to get rid of the vapours in the tank. but it could be something like a sensor that reads wrong info once in a while,...see what happens...the evap sys won't leave you stranded on the side oof the road or anything dude,...

.honestly...to make yourself feel like a super pimp...go online buy a decent code reader...up here to read codes cost approx 75/hr to pull ecu codes and a reader only costs 150-200 oops guys that's beaver money too, so convert....you can read codes from friends cars make a few bucks, i charge 20 bones for friends and they don't mind when going to the dealer costs 5 times as much...oh yea you can erase the codes too! and it comes with a booklet with the numerical codes definitions in it. if you buy the super duper (i heart this one) pimp code readder, it has text on the screne that tells you the code right on it! have fun in ur truck man, but i'd rather you ride a motorcycle!:YEAH
